Honoring the Louisiana Extended Care Team as Guardian Angels

We are proud to recognize the entire Louisiana Extended Care team as Guardian Angels. This special recognition was made by a grateful patient who wanted to express heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional care, compassion, and support received throughout their stay.

The Louisiana Extended Care team plays a vital role in helping patients recover, regain strength, and transition forward with confidence. From clinical care to daily encouragement, each team member contributes to an environment where patients feel valued, supported, and truly cared for. It is this collective commitment that makes such a lasting impact on the lives of those they serve.

This recognition is a reflection of the teamwork, dedication, and genuine compassion that define Louisiana Extended Care. Their work goes far beyond treatment, offering comfort, hope, and encouragement during important moments in a patient’s journey.

About the Guardian Angel Program

The Guardian Angel program honors exceptional caregivers and team members including doctors, nurses, therapists, aides, and support staff who go above and beyond. Nominations come from patients and families who have experienced extraordinary care and include a contribution to the NRMC Foundation in honor of the caregivers.

We are proud to recognize two incredible nurses as DAISY Award recipients at NRMC.

The DAISY Award is a national recognition program that honors the extraordinary compassion, skill, and dedication nurses bring to patient care every day. It celebrates those who go above and beyond to make a meaningful difference during some of life’s most vulnerable moments.

Jacqueline Jackson (Day Surgery) was nominated for the comfort and reassurance she provided during a frightening emergency situation, helping both patient and family feel at ease with her kindness, humor, and genuine care.

Tiffany Willis (OB) was recognized for her exceptional bedside manner, taking the time to ensure her patient felt heard, informed, and safe while delivering compassionate, personalized care during a very emotional experience.

These stories are powerful reminders of the impact our nurses make every single day.

Please join us in congratulating Jacqueline and Tiffany on this well-deserved honor.

We are incredibly grateful to the FBLA students of Natchitoches Central High School and Mrs. Griffith for their outstanding work on the Lucky Bear Service Project. Thanks to their leadership and the generosity of our community, 120 teddy bears were collected and donated to our Emergency Room.

These bears will make a meaningful difference for children who come through our ER, offering comfort during moments that can often feel overwhelming or scary. It is a simple gesture that brings real compassion to the care we provide every day.

We are so proud of these students who are already making such a positive impact in our community, and we sincerely thank every donor who helped make this project possible.
