Allegheny Health Network's Cancer Patient Ambassador program was formed to compliment the clinical expertise of the AHN Cancer Institute with emotional and practical support for newly diagnosed patients.

Now in its second year, the program has grown to include 90 ambassadors providing firsthand insights on the unique challenges of cancer.

The program pairs newly diagnosed cancer patients with volunteer ambassadors who have successfully navigated their own cancer journeys, providing emotional and practical support.

Due to weather, many AHN outpatient locations in the Pittsburgh region will have a morning delay on Monday, January 26. Erie locations are operating on a normal schedule.

Key Updates for the Pittsburgh Region:

1. AHN Express Care in Bellevue, Braddock, North Fayette and Wexford will operate from 12 p.m. - 7 p.m. AHN Fox Chapel Express Care is open until 5 p.m. AHN Downtown Express Care is closed today. AHN Virtual Urgent Care is always available 24/7.

2. Outpatient & Physician Clinics: Many locations will operate on a morning delay. Our team members are proactively notifying affected patients and may offer virtual appointments where appropriate.
