This holiday season, gratitude was served… with pumpkin pie! 🥧💛
We were thrilled to share pumpkin pies with our amazing staff as a small way to say thank you for all they do every day. What made it even more special? Some of our team chose to donate their pies to Saint Michael’s Church to be part of their Thanksgiving meal for the community.

It’s moments like these that remind us how powerful giving back can be — not just within our walls, but out in the wider community. We are so grateful for our staff, their generosity, and the connections that make our community stronger and warmer. 🧡

This Thanksgiving, our amazing staff came together to create a Thanksgiving basket for a family from Stokes Counseling Services who is in need. Through generous donations and teamwork, we were able to share a little extra warmth, comfort, and holiday cheer with those who needed it most.

November 14th was National Thank You Letter Day!📬✨
Each year, this special day reminds us of the simple yet meaningful act of writing thank-you letters — a tradition that many feel has faded in our fast-paced, digital world. To honor the day, our residents came together to write a heartfelt thank-you letter to our wonderful Recreation Director, Sara, who is currently out on maternity leave. 💛👶

Their words were filled with appreciation, warm memories, and encouragement. Still smiling from the 33rd annual Scot Haney WFSB - Channel 3 Eyewitness News TV Jack Bannan Turkey Trot! 🦃✨

Sharing a quick clip of our awesome Complete Care team—whose energy, teamwork, and big hearts made the event truly unforgettable. From laughter to lifting turkeys, the camaraderie was as strong as the community spirit around us.

The early morning called for a team breakfast before we started our regular workday, and Sally and Bob's ’ delivered! Huge thanks for accommodating us and serving a fabulous breakfast to fuel us up!

We were proud to take part in the 33rd annual Jack Bannan Turkey Trot, supporting Connecticut Foodshare in their efforts to fight food insecurity across our communities.

WFSB - Channel 3 Eyewitness News Scot Haney hosted the event at Stop & Shop in Simsbury, where local organizations and community members came together to donate turkeys for families in need. This year, Complete Care Connecticut donated turkeys and contributed $8,000 to help ensure more households can enjoy a meaningful Thanksgiving meal.

We’re so grateful for our staff, whose heart and hard work made this possible. Their compassion reaches far beyond our buildings, and seeing that kindness shared with the community truly inspires us. 💙

This festive activity wasn’t just fun—it also served as a meaningful sensory experience, offering soothing engagement, creativity, and gentle cognitive stimulation.

Moments like these are especially valuable during Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, helping residents connect through touch, color, memory, and the joy of the season. A beautiful blend of holiday cheer and heart-centered sensory care. 💙💜
