To celebrate National Drink Wine Day on February 18th, our residents enjoyed a delightful wine tasting experience paired with a selection of simple, complementary bites. The afternoon was both flavorful and fun as everyone sampled different varieties and explored how certain foods enhance the taste of each wine.

Following the tasting, we took a “trip around the world and country,” learning about the regions where the wines were produced and what makes each area unique. From vineyards near and far, residents discovered interesting facts about climate, grapes, and traditions behind the wines served. It was a wonderful blend of education, socialization, and celebration — perfectly pairing good company with great taste.

As part of our “Eat, Pray, Love” February theme inspired by Eat Pray Love, our very own Chef Lucas brought the vibrant flavors of India right to our community with a special cooking demonstration. Residents and staff were treated to a delicious presentation of butter chicken served over yellow lentil dahl.

Chef Lucas shared his culinary knowledge, explaining the importance of layering spices, proper preparation techniques, and thoughtful food presentation. Beyond enjoying a wonderful meal, everyone gained insight into the culture and traditions behind the dish. It was a flavorful and educational experience that truly embodied the “Eat” portion of our theme — bringing people together through food, learning, and shared enjoyment.
