We’re stepping into something new — and meaningful.

On January 1, The Bindu Way, Inc officially opens as the nonprofit arm of The Bindu Institute, LLC.

This work will center on proactive mental health — supporting individuals and communities before challenges turn into crises.

We’re still imagining what this can become, but we’re confident in why it exists. And that feels like a strong place to start.

AI-based chatbots are becoming more common in the mental health space, and many young people enjoy using them because they feel safe and accessible. They can offer journaling prompts, grounding exercises, emotional vocabulary, and general mental wellness support.

However, it’s important for parents, caregivers, and teens to understand both the benefits and the limitations.

⚠️ Potential Risks:
• Chatbots are not clinically trained and may misunderstand situations
• They cannot diagnose, provide therapy, or respond to crisis situations
• Some platforms collect or store personal information
• Overreliance may prevent teens from seeking real support
• Advice may be vague, inaccurate, or not developmentally appropriate

✔️ Tips for Safe & Healthy Use:
• Use chatbots as supplemental tools alongside real-life support
• Choose platforms with strong privacy protections
• Keep communication open — ask teens what the bot has been telling them
• Set boundaries around when AI is helpful vs. when a human is needed
