Happy and content to be your hometown family doctor!

People ask me if I miss being in the Legislature.
Yesterday in my clinic, I made a difference in 35 lives based on what I thought was the right thing to do, and I didn’t have to clear it with 119 other people to do it.
I prefer where I am, thanks.

No, I haven’t seen any measles out there, but I will tell you what we have seen in the last three weeks- an abdominal aortic aneurysm, meningitis, and leukemia.

Medicine is serious business. Don’t trust your life to some substandard minute clinic that may not even have a doctor on the premises. Don’t you deserve someone who finished 15th in his med school class with 30 years of expertise?

When y’all needed a doctor to stand up against the mask tyrants, I went before the school board and fought for your kids.
It would mean the world to me to have your families as patients of my clinic.
Call (850)939-3999 to make the change.

Remember, those physicians that wanted your children masked forever didn’t just go away. They are the same doctors that will refuse to see children on a delayed vaccination schedule. They are the same ones that will report a parent to DCF for seeking a second opinion.

I am proud to be the only family doctor in the region to fight these bullies at the school board level. I fought them as a legislator when I worked hand in hand with America’s Governor Ron DeSantis to pass medical freedom laws. I am fighting them by accepting the innocent patients they turn away that need a doctor’s care. And I will continue to fight them as they try to use the government to rip apart families who choose a different treatment plan.

Politics has no place in medicine.

This statement is ridiculous. Just one of the many reasons I don’t belong to the AMA.
Get politics out of medicine!!!

Please keep my wife in your prayers today. I first met 35 years ago when I was studying at the University of Wales in Swansea. On the first day of university, I saw this beautiful British woman walking with two of her female friends, and in a power move very out of character for me, I invited myself along to the school cafeteria with all three of them!

I was captivated by her intelligence, her wit, and her beauty. We were dating soon after. And yes, she made the first move by asking to kiss me goodnight! But in a bizarre plot twist, she broke up with me two weeks later. 😳I guess I’m an intense individual (shocker) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

But after a couple weeks of just being “friends”, we were an item once again and have been for 35 years. We got engaged before I returned to America, and after spending one year apart in different countries, Sophie transferred to Southern Miss, a 90 minute drive from my medical school. I probably would’ve finished med school ranked higher than 15th if I didn’t spend 6 hours every weekend on the road visiting her 🤣
She is the kindest, sweetest, most innocent person I know. She is my everything. If you haven’t watched this week’s podcast, Sophie announced she has breast cancer. She is having surgery today. Please pray for her as she negotiates this speedbump in the road of life. She has many more chapters to write, and I look forward to writing them all with her.
