It’s time for our November Praise in the Chicken Park!! We’re having it a week early this month since the last Saturday of November is Thanksgiving weekend.

Are you a believer who was affected or knew others who were affected by the recent government shut down, especially regarding EBT? Well, it was never God’s intent for his people to depend on the government! He wants us working together as a community of believers to help and support each other and to depend on him — his provision and his ways— in these times.

If you’ve been desiring a deeper relationship with God and/or wondering what you can do to serve him more in this season, then I encourage you to come out to Praise in the Chicken Park this Saturday (November 22) at 10:00 a.m. for a wonderful time with fellow members of the Body of Christ as we honor God, the one who created each of us flawlessly and intentionally.

We’ll spend time in worship and in the presence of Jesus, the King of kings — our King! We’ll also share meaningful Bible passages, talk about our identity in Christ, and discuss the plans for unifying the local body of Christ by creating a Community of Believers as described in Acts Chapter 2. It’s a beautiful plan from the heart of God for Grimes County!

Bring your Bible, a bottle of water, a lawn chair, and your family and friends!! More info on the pic of the flyer below.

Slumber party at Grandma’s!! I made some fresh popcorn with organic kernels popped on the stovetop in a blend of tallow and avocado oils drizzled in Kerrygold butter and liberally sprinkled with pink Himalayan salt.

Of course, they needed some hot coco to wash it down! lol I had to mix and match ingredients to get 2 cups because I was almost out of cacao powder and didn’t have milk, but I pulled it off for them. lol I heated up a combo of organic half and half, water, and coconut milk and melted a handful of organic dark chocolate chips in it and added in all the organic cacao powder I had. I sweetened it with a combo of maple syrup, agave nectar, and stevia glycerite. It turned out great! 😋

To top it off they wanted to watch a Christmas movie!! It’s Nov 1st! Whose kids are these??? Lol I’m already looking forward to bypassing the holidays and getting to January. This is love!! 😂💜

Lesson: You can have yummy treats, just make them with healthier ingredients! 😊😋

The kids came over to “help with chores,” but these kittens have been a delightful distraction. They are three weeks now and so sweet and cute! 💜🐈‍⬛

They also discovered that if they put on a hoodie jacket backwards they can carry the kittens in the hood.

The wheelbarrow was being used to clean up sticks from the recent storms, but it quickly got turned into a stroller and day bed for mama and babies. Ahhhh…they’re only young once….kittens and kids. 😂💜

Call me weird, but this is such a delicious snack!! Siete fuego puffs with a dollop of organic crunchy peanut butter and mini organic dark chocolate baking chips paired with organic apple slices — a little spicy, salty, sweet treat for your taste buds. Try it! You’ll thank me later…maybe. 😂😋

My dear friend, Doris, called me this morning, and we had a powerful time of prayer for Jamaica, taking authority over the storm and praying for a move of the Holy Spirit to come through in a powerful way. I found this precious playlist of Jamaican worship music and I've been playing it releasing these sweet heavenly frequencies into the atmosphere. I encourage you all to pray and join in with these praises today!

This is why I almost always have my hair in a ball on top of my head. I can’t wash dishes, sweep, or mop without pulling my own hair, and I have to be careful to keep it out of the toilet (mine and Chance’s). 😂

When I do want to wear it down, it takes two days to do something with it. These sock curls are hilariously effective and work better at giving my hair a little pizzazz than anything I’ve ever used, even the hot rollers from back in the 80s. 🤯

I made a contraption out of 4 knee socks to wrap my damp hair around, and I do that a day before I need it to be ready. Sometimes it’s a little tricky wrapping and unwrapping, and I have to carefully work out a little tangled mess. Lol 🤦🏻‍♀️

When I finally get it unwrapped the next day, I turn my head upside down and give my hair a good shake, flip it back, and use a wide tooth pick-like comb to try and tame it a bit. I’ve always been decently pleased with the results because my hair has always done what it wants to do no matter what I try to make it do. 😁🪮👩🏻‍🦱

Someone’s getting stocked up on Mama Goose Naturals products! This was a bulk order of Super Goose Balms - Immunity Blend and Pain & Inflammation Blend in addition to the three bottles of Nooks & Crannies Liquid Castile 3 in 1 Soap for hands, body, and hair.

Funny side story – I recently got set up to create and print the postage labels and schedule a pick up via the USPS website, which gives me much more flexibility in shipping. I got my package ready yesterday and set it by my front door this morning to help me remember to put it out for the postman. As I was putting it out, I thought to myself that I should take a quick pic to post on social media, so I came back in and put it on my deep freezer and snapped the pic.

Then I looked over and saw my cat hungrily watching me through the window, so I went ahead and fed her since she has 3 new babies a little over a week old, and she lives to eat right now. While feeding her I decided to go ahead and go feed the chickens and water my plants. I came inside and made my coffee and breakfast and took it out to my table on my back patio along with my computer. I had my coffee and breakfast, enjoyed some time with the Lord, and started on a ministry typing project.

When I took my dishes inside, I heard a knock on my door. It was the postman looking for the package because I had said it would be out on the wheel chair ramp rail by my front door. I was shocked. I knew I had put it out on the rail. I remembered opening the door and setting it out. We were both looking for it – under the ramp, in the bushes, everywhere in that little area. I came inside twice and looked in the living room and on the dining table but to no avail. I could not figure out where that package went. He was so kind and apologetic that it had gone missing and as he was getting ready to leave told me to just schedule another pick up if I found it.

I came back in so puzzled, and then one more thought crossed my mind – “Look on the deep freezer” – because I often set things on it for a few minutes in passing. I quickly dashed over, and there it was!! I grabbed it and got it out to the postman before he backed out of my driveway. I was still puzzled because I didn’t remember putting it there.

The whole day passed by, and when I sat down to do some posts this evening I suddenly remembered that I had brought the package back in to take the pic for the post, but I had gotten distracted after snapping the pic and forgot to take it back out and put it on the rail. That sweet postman was out there trying to help me find it, and all the time it was sitting on my deep freezer!! Oh, gosh!! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Well, all’s well that ends well. All the animals got fed, the plants got watered, the ministry project got completed, and this special order is on the way! Thank you, Lord, for helping us in our “human” moments!! LOL 🙏🏼💜
