February’s Morningstar Memory Café was filled with love and learning! Guests celebrated Valentine’s Day with sweet treats and a special presentation by Liz Lorenzo from the Bethlehem Garden Club. We’re so grateful for the support of local organizations who help make these gatherings meaningful.

Yesterday’s EventFULL Living seminar was a true standout. Resident and master craftsman John Holdos brought history to life as he shared the story behind Thomas Jefferson’s iconic swivel Windsor chair - and his own journey in creating an exact replica. His knowledge, craftsmanship, and personal reflections sparked wonderful conversation and great questions from our audience. Guests even had a chance to sit on the replica chair and get an up close look at the Declaration of Independence...what a unique way to honor America's 250th Anniversary! Thank you John for sharing your talent and knowledge with us!

Our Nursing Care residents took a recent trip across the pond for this Travel Thursday event -straight to Scotland! Abi, our Activities Coordinator, led the group on a memorable journey filled with castles, kilts, and a wee bit of Scottish charm! A perfect reminder that adventure has no age limit.

We loved celebrating our amazing team with a Souper Bowl party to say thank you for everything you do every single day. From going above and beyond to caring with heart, our team truly makes the difference!

We showed our appreciation now — just in time for Super Bowl Sunday — with a delicious spread of comforting soups, warm bread bowls, fresh salad, and sweet desserts.

🌟 Spotlighting Success: Marsha Tulloch’s Nursing Career Journey 🌟

Marsha’s growth at Morningstar Living is a true example of opportunity, dedication, and compassion—and we’re excited to share her story!

Marsha joined Morningstar Living in October 2023 as a Personal Care Assistant, and today she is proud to serve as an LPN on our nursing team. Her passion for nursing began long before that—rooted in her childhood in Jamaica, where she watched her grandmother care for the sick in the community using holistic remedies. Later, caring for her late husband through cancer and renal disease strengthened her resolve to provide compassionate care to others.

When Marsha began nursing school in May 2023, her first clinical rotation brought her to Morningstar Living—and that experience left a lasting impression:
“I fell in love with the way residents were cared for. They weren’t treated like they were sick—they were treated like family. The compassion was visible, and I knew I wanted to work here.”

Since then, Marsha has continued to climb the nursing career ladder while bringing joy to residents every day:
“I loved playing Bingo with them—the smiles on their faces melted my heart. It empowers me to keep coming back no matter what.”

Her advice for others pursuing nursing:
“Don’t do it just for a paycheck. Treat residents with love, respect, and understanding—as if they were your own family.”

Marsha, thank you for your compassion, resilience, and commitment to excellence. Your journey inspires us all, and we’re proud to celebrate your success at Morningstar Living!

Please join us in congratulating Tony Franco, our February Team Member of the Month!

Tony joined Morningstar Living in November 2024 as a Transportation Driver and has quickly become a valued part of our team.

After retiring in 2020, he chose this position as a meaningful way to continue serving others and give back to the Nazareth community.

His personal goal on every assigned trip is to provide the best possible service to the residents in his care, always treating them with the same kindness and respect he would show his own family members.

Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, and a graduate of NCACC, Tony has strong ties to the local community, having been a Nazareth resident for 41 years. He has also been a devoted member of Holy Family Parish for 41 years and has generously shared his talents as part of the parish’s music ministry for more than 35 years.

Tony is married and recently celebrated 50 years of marriage, is the proud father of three children, and a grandfather to ten grandchildren.

Outside of work, he enjoys reading, golfing, traveling, and spending time with family—especially his grandchildren. One favorite tradition is an annual vacation to Ocean City, MD.

Thank you, Tony, for your dedication, warm spirit, and the genuine care you show our residents and team every single day.
