Tony joined Morningstar Living in November 2024 as a Transportation Driver and has quickly become a valued part of our team.

After retiring in 2020, he chose this position as a meaningful way to continue serving others and give back to the Nazareth community.

His personal goal on every assigned trip is to provide the best possible service to the residents in his care, always treating them with the same kindness and respect he would show his own family members.

Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, and a graduate of NCACC, Tony has strong ties to the local community, having been a Nazareth resident for 41 years. He has also been a devoted member of Holy Family Parish for 41 years and has generously shared his talents as part of the parish’s music ministry for more than 35 years.

Tony is married and recently celebrated 50 years of marriage, is the proud father of three children, and a grandfather to ten grandchildren.

Outside of work, he enjoys reading, golfing, traveling, and spending time with family—especially his grandchildren. One favorite tradition is an annual vacation to Ocean City, MD.

Their hard work keeps our roads and walkways clear, and this weekend they even made sure the walking trail was safely opened so residents could get outside and enjoy the beauty of the snow.

As we move into a new year of recognition and gratitude, we’re taking a moment to look back at our 2025 Annual Awards Day celebration, where we honored team members who embody dedication, compassion, and service—individuals like Haley Swedell.

Haley was recognized with our Welcome to the Family Customer Service Award, a reflection of the positivity she brings to every interaction. Her uplifting energy sets the tone throughout the building, and she consistently goes above and beyond to ensure residents feel seen, appreciated, and genuinely cared for.

Her compassion extends far beyond scheduled hours—Haley often visits residents on her days off, bringing flowers, offering company during difficult moments, and showing the kind of warmth that makes our community feel like home. She treats residents and coworkers like extended family, embodying the award’s core values of warmth, reliability, inclusivity, and a true heart for service.

🌟 Heather McMillian-Riley’s Journey at Morningstar Living 🌟

Heather’s growth at Morningstar Living is a true example of opportunity and dedication—and we’re excited to spotlight her success!

Since joining our team in September 2019, Heather has embraced every role with pride: starting as a Café Attendant, then moving to Dishwasher, Laundry Aide, and Floor Technician, before stepping into her current role as Housekeeping Supervisor.

Her story reflects the heart of our culture: supporting team members as they grow and reach their goals. Heather shared:
“When I moved to the United States from The Netherlands, I wasn’t sure what opportunities I would have. Morningstar Living was the first place that hired me, and I never left. They always talk about ‘The American Dream,’ and I truly feel like I got my own version of this. I’m so grateful for the opportunities I’ve had here.”

Heather credits her success to the incredible support she received from colleagues across departments:
“Everyone wanted me to succeed. People encouraged me to apply, and that gave me confidence. I never feel like I have to do this alone—our team is like family.”

For Heather, this promotion means more than a new title:

Anne has been a valued member of the Morningstar Living team for over four years, serving as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. Her dedication to patient-centered care, family support, and education reflects her commitment to making a difference and contributing to the success of our community.

Originally from Stroudsburg, PA, Anne graduated from Stroudsburg High School and earned her Associate of Science degree from Penn State Berks. Her career aspirations include gaining expertise in specialized areas of care and continuing to enhance the lives of residents and their families.

What truly sets Anne apart is her compassion and positivity. Residents and families often describe her as a “ray of sunshine,” and her attention to detail ensures individualized care for every person she serves.

Outside of work, Anne enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband Jack, daughter Adeline, and their beagle Nellie. She loves gardening, boating, and music—having played piano for 22 years and violin for 20 years, performing in competitions, orchestras, and special events.
