As you may have heard, Carol and I made the emotional decision to sell the funeral home. We knew we needed to do what was best for the succession of the business so we entrusted the future of the funeral home to Gudes. We feel comfort knowing Gudes will know how to serve the amazing town of Nebraska City and surrounding areas.

Working with the Gude Family has been a pleasure. The care and detail they have put into this transition has meant a lot to us. We know the family business is in good hands. Thank you.

We would like to also take the time to thank the countless families both Carol and I, and also my father, Dean and my mother, Aubyn have had the honor of serving. Our service to this wonderful community and surrounding areas has meant a lot. Every family we have served has touched our hearts in one way or another. We had the privilege and trust of families, guiding them through difficult times and that is not something we have ever taken lightly.

Thank you again for trusting us in your time of need.

To those who have wished us well, thank you. This is an exciting time in our lives and we now have more time to spend with family and our grandchildren. Carol and I will not be leaving Nebraska City and will continue to help part time. Who knows, maybe we will get some traveling in here and there as well!
