We’re proud to shine the spotlight on one of our amazing SLPs, Jaime!

Jaime serves in one of our contracted school districts, where she makes a meaningful impact every single day. Her dedication to her students, creativity in therapy, and ability to build strong connections truly set her apart. Whether she’s celebrating big milestones or the smallest wins, Jaime brings patience, encouragement, and heart into everything she does.

Her passion for helping students find their voice and grow in confidence does not go unnoticed. She’s an incredible advocate, mentor, teammate, and clinician, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our team!

🗣️ Favorite part of your job: Watching kids have those “lightbulb” moments when something finally clicks! There’s nothing better than seeing their confidence grow and hearing them use new skills in real life.
💙 Why I choose TheraSpace: The TheraSpace family truly feels like family! The support and positivity they provide makes me love my job even more!
🎲 Favorite therapy game: Pop the Pig! It's definitely a must have and so easy to adjust for any age/level.
💬 Fun fact: I got to marry my husband in Hawaii; a dream come true! We now we have two wild and crazy boys who definitely keep life fun and busy

We’re celebrating a BIG milestone… Zoey has officially graduated from speech therapy! 🎉

From day one, she has shown determination, resilience, and the sweetest spirit. She worked so hard, pushed through challenges, and made incredible progress every step of the way. Watching her confidence grow has been such a joy, and we couldn’t be more proud of how far she’s come.

Her SLP, Makenzie, is especially proud of her and has loved being part of Zoey’s journey every step of the way. 💛

Zoey, you are amazing, and this is just the beginning for you!

Play isn’t just fun — it’s how kids learn to communicate 💬✨

Using something as simple as a Bluey house + figures, you can build SO many language skills at home:

🏠 Imaginative Play
Kids create their own stories, which builds vocabulary, sentence length, and creativity.

🗣️ Modeling Language
You can model simple phrases like:
“Bluey is eating.”
“Bingo is sleeping.”
“The family is going to the park!”

🔄 Turn Taking
Back-and-forth play = back-and-forth conversation skills.

❓ Asking & Answering Questions
“Where is Bluey going?”
“What is Bingo doing?”

🎭 Social Skills
Pretend play helps kids learn emotions, problem solving, and everyday routines.

The PDSES application is now open!

The Parent-Directed Special Education Services (PDSES) program provides a one-time $1,500 online grant for parents/guardians of eligible students receiving special education services and enrolled in a Texas public school. Families can use the online account to purchase educational materials and resources—such as textbooks, curriculum, or technology—and services like tutoring or therapy.

Application window: April 1–April 30, 2026. To learn more, visit PDSES.TEA.TEXAS.GOV.

Today we’re spotlighting Amber Q, one of our amazing Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) who supports students in one of our partnered school districts!

Amber works closely with students each day to help them strengthen their communication skills and grow in confidence both in and out of the classroom. Her patience, creativity, and dedication make such a difference for the kids she serves.

Meet Taylor, one of our wonderful Speech-Language Pathologists serving patients at our Orange and Mid County clinics!

Taylor works with both children and adults, helping her patients build stronger communication skills, confidence, and independence. Whether she’s celebrating a child’s therapy milestone or supporting an adult on their communication journey, Taylor brings compassion, knowledge, and encouragement to every session.

A few fun things about Taylor:
🧸 Favorite therapy activity: I love using the Bluey Playhouse/Dollhouse. There are so many things to target with that! I also love anything farm or animal related.
📚 Favorite children’s book: Brown Bear

🎉 Fun fact: I am a 2x champion for The Office trivia.

Meet Brooke, one of our wonderful Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA)!

Brooke serves both in the clinic and in the schools, helping children grow their communication skills in so many different environments. Whether she’s working one-on-one with a child at the clinic or juggling small groups of students in the schools, Brooke brings patience, creativity, and a big heart to everything she does. And she does it with a smile!

A few fun things about Brooke:

Cynthia is often one of the first friendly faces and voices our families connect with at TheraSpace. From helping schedule appointments to supporting families through the therapy process, she works hard behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly for our patients and team.

🌟 Favorite part of working at TheraSpace: Team work; I’m used to wearing many hats so I love it when other people do the same for me and vice versa.

What inspired them to work in speech therapy:
I always loved working with kids and knew I wanted to be in a field where I could do that. I love the diversity of the field, the broad scope of skills that we have and populations we get to work with.

A few fun things about Mak:
🧩 Favorite therapy toy: Bubbles or balloon cars! There are so many goals you can target with these simple toys and everybody loves them.
☕️ Coffee order: Iced cinnamon bun latte
🏖️ Favorite way to spend a day off: Go on walks, spend time at the lake with family and friends.
