Our community was filled with spirit (and a few friendly spooks!) as residents, staff, families, and even some adorable pets came together to celebrate Halloween. From creative costumes to festive treats and laughter echoing through the halls, it was a day full of smiles, connection, and pure joy.

Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make this Halloween un-boo-lievably special!

Celebrating 67 Years of Love

Today, our Neighborhood came together to honor a truly remarkable milestone — the 67th wedding anniversary of our beloved residents, Dick and Fran.

Inspired by the timeless romance of Lady and the Tramp, we hosted a beautiful celebration filled with love, laughter, and a touch of nostalgia. Our wonderful couple enjoyed their favorite Italian dishes, reminiscent of that iconic spaghetti scene that has always resonated with them.

Family members, residents, and staff gathered for a heartfelt evening featuring a special slideshow and a touching poem dedicated to their journey together. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as we celebrated not only their enduring love, but the deep bond they’ve shared for nearly seven decades.

Congratulations, Dick and Fran, on 67 extraordinary years. It is our honor and joy to celebrate your love story and the light you continue to bring to our community.

We’re excited to share that we officially kicked off our Dream Weavers: Unreasonable Hospitality Training at Wingate Residences at Needham!

Inspired by the incredible book Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara, this program is all about going above and beyond—creating moments of warmth, care, and connection that make people feel truly seen and valued.

This week, we welcomed team members from dining, marketing, hospitality, activities, and maintenance for an uplifting morning filled with creativity, laughter, and connection. Through skits, teamwork, and reflection, everyone walked away a “winner”—feeling inspired to dream bigger and deliver even more meaningful experiences.

At Wingate Residences, hospitality isn’t just about service—it’s about heart. We’re committed to weaving joy, comfort, and unforgettable moments into the lives of our residents, their families, and our community every single day.

What a day! Today we hosted our very first Memory Café at the Center at the Heights - Aging Services — and it was nothing short of magical.

Our Neighborhood Director, Jose Soto, CDP, Laughter Yoga Leader, led his signature Music and Movement and Laughter Yoga session to a sold-out crowd. The room was buzzing with energy, joy, and connection as our community came together for this truly special experience.

A heartfelt thank you to Briarwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center and Senior Helpers of Boston and South Shore for sponsoring today’s event and bringing such amazing energy to the room.

By the end, our cheeks hurt from so much smiling, our hearts were full, and the spirit of community was alive and thriving.

Wonderful celebration of “Ageless Adventure” for Assisted Living Week! Highlights were a carnival with the help of Newton Country Day, an art show featuring a beloved residents art, a fashion show, a dog contest, and a pirate presentation. What a week!

In the spirit of National Assisted Living Week, our Neighborhood family enjoyed a joyful trip to Hornstra Farms! The Wellness Team showed up in full force to support our residents, making it a truly special day. Together, we experienced the fascinating milking process, savored delicious farm-fresh treats, and soaked up the sunshine under a beautiful September sky.

It was a day filled with smiles, laughter, and wonderful memories — a perfect reminder of the joy that comes from being together and embracing new adventures.

Today’s Flight of Imagination Art Gallery was truly a special celebration in honor of our very own Neighborhood resident, Pat!

The gallery was a huge hit with residents and families alike. Pat, the star of the day, was showered with love, support, and admiration for her incredible talent. She was greeted by her Wingate Residences at Needham community with warmth, and everyone made sure to remind her just how wonderful her art is.

This week, our Neighborhood residents took an Ageless Adventure as we celebrated National Assisted Living Week with a trip down memory lane to the fabulous 50’s!

From lively dances and fun trivia to retro photos and classic root beer floats 🍨🥤 (thanks to our friends at Brighton Hospice Boston, Julie Kefi), the day was filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

What a wonderful way to celebrate the past while living fully in the present!
