☘️ Our Wingate community truly struck gold this St. Patrick’s Day! The day was filled with festive personalities, laughter, and incredible energy as residents and team members came together dressed in their best green. From raising a glass of green beer to enjoying delicious Irish bread, every moment was filled with joy, connection, and celebration. The music was lively, the dancing was contagious, and the smiles were everywhere—you could truly feel the spirit of the holiday throughout the entire community.

The highlight of the day was a special visit from the Harney Crawford Academy of Irish Dance, who treated our residents to an unforgettable performance full of rhythm, culture, and excitement. It was an Irish good time in every sense—bringing people together, lifting spirits, and creating meaningful moments we won’t soon forget.

Today our Neighborhood was filled with wagging tails, warm smiles, and heartfelt connection.

A very special thank you to Officer Joseph Brienze, Emily, and of course our star fur-friend Rocket from the Needham Police Department for stopping by to spend time with our residents and deliver the most thoughtful surprise — adorable “Rocket” stuffies for everyone.

Residents lit up during the visit, soaking in Rocket’s friendly presence and cherishing the special gifts. These “Rocket” stuffies are more than just keepsakes — they are small tokens of care, comfort, and meaningful connection between our community and those who serve it.

Moments like today remind us how powerful simple acts of kindness can be. We are lucky to call you friends of the Neighborhood.

❄️ The Blizzard of ’26 came in strong — but it didn’t stop our heroes from showing up. ❄️

Today, we were all Dream Weavers.

Through snow-covered roads and treacherous conditions, some of our team braved the drive, while others selflessly slept over to ensure our residents remained safe and supported. That kind of dedication speaks volumes.

Private caregivers, maintenance, concierge, dining, housekeeping, programming, wellness nurses, and our incredible RCA staff all came together as one unified community.

Walkways were cleared. Meals were prepared. Rooms were cared for. Medications were administered. Programs continued. And in between it all — moments of kindness, teamwork, and compassion quietly unfolded.

This is what makes our community extraordinary.
This is what heart looks like in action.

Blizzards may test us — but together, we rise.

This Valentine’s Day, our hearts were full at Wingate Residences at Needham. We were deeply touched by a visit from Jessie and her family through the Love Ambassadors Program with Tiny Tags, who shared hand-delivered flowers as part of a nationwide effort to remind seniors just how loved and valued they are. It was a simple, powerful gesture that filled our community with gratitude and warmth.

The love continued with joyful pet visits, meaningful connections during a visit from Wellesley College students who enjoyed a lively dance party with our Neighborhood residents. The day was beautifully rounded out with delicious treats made possible by our amazing dining department. Moments like these remind us that love lives in connection, kindness, and community—and we felt all of it today.
