He taught law in Africa; she worked around the world with Oxfam and Pathfinder International. Together, they’ve explored continents and causes with open minds and full hearts.

Now, at North Hill, they continue their journey—Stan advocating for justice through the New England Innocence Project, and Jenny enriching the community through service and connection. Their warmth, curiosity, and compassion inspire everyone around them.

Meet Anne Weaver — a gifted flutist, compassionate physician, and cherished member of our North Hill community. 🎶

Anne’s life has been a beautiful blend of music and medicine — from performing at the White House as a teen to caring for patients of all ages as a doctor. Today, she shares her many talents with neighbors at North Hill, performing at concerts and memorials, leading health talks, and helping others live well and age well.

Her story reminds us that sometimes the best journeys aren’t planned — they’re simply lived with passion and purpose.

Our Story

In 1984, North Hill began a tradition of innovative leadership in Massachusetts, providing exceptional living options, programs and services to people age 65 and better. Building on more than 25 years of success, we embarked on a major renovation in 2011, which was completed in 2015. The result is a campus with new and newly designed modern, luxury apartments, welcoming, beautiful public spaces and a program of PurposeFULL Living events and activities to ensure that active, vibrant, lifelong learners can retire to the lifestyle they’ve earned.

With a state-of-the-art fitness center and 7,000 sq. ft. swimming pool, residents at North Hill stay active and healthy as they age. Four dining venues offer cuisine from the comfort foods of our childhoods to up-to-minute gourmet, international cuisine, all prepared by master culinary artists with food that is fresh and local.
