Meet Guus! 🙌 Born and educated in the Netherlands, Guus came to the United States in 1973 and built a long career as a transportation engineer in the Greater Boston area. After 40 years in Brookline with his wife Lorraine, they moved to North Hill in 2021 where they stay active through volunteering, community service, and fitness classes in the Wellness Center.

In 1984, North Hill began a tradition of innovative leadership in Massachusetts, providing exceptional living options, programs and services to people age 65 and better. Building on more than 25 years of success, we embarked on a major renovation in 2011, which was completed in 2015. The result is a campus with new and newly designed modern, luxury apartments, welcoming, beautiful public spaces and a program of PurposeFULL Living events and activities to ensure that active, vibrant, lifelong learners can retire to the lifestyle they’ve earned.

With a state-of-the-art fitness center and 7,000 sq. ft. swimming pool, residents at North Hill stay active and healthy as they age. Four dining venues offer cuisine from the comfort foods of our childhoods to up-to-minute gourmet, international cuisine, all prepared by master culinary artists with food that is fresh and local.
