Ellie Fund is a Massachusetts-based organization that provides essential support services for breast cancer patients to ease the stresses of everyday life, allowing the focus to be on family, recovery, and healing. Its services include grocery gift cards, nutritious prepared/delivered meals, transportation to medical appointments, childcare reimbursement, housekeeping, and integrative therapy services, free of charge. Any patient with breast cancer receiving treatment in Massachusetts is eligible for Ellie Fund services.

Today, we honor the birthday of Eleanor “Ellie” Popkin—the woman whose love and strength inspired the founding of the Ellie Fund.

Thirty years ago, her sons created the Ellie Fund in her memory. What began as a personal tribute has become a lifeline for thousands of Massachusetts breast cancer patients.

Ellie’s legacy lives on in every patient served, every family supported, and every act of compassion made possible through this community. On her birthday, we are especially grateful for the enduring impact of her life and the generosity it continues to inspire.
