ADMIN APPROVED

I am going with Isaac on Friday because all the surgeons decided to change the schedule without asking us.

He is having a few procedures, tonsils, adenoids, ABR, tubes.....for his severe obstructive sleep apnea. The hope is that we can take him off the oxygen and pulse ox, it's a beepapalooza in our house with Levon also on both plus a feeding pump.

Have a room reserved at the Ronald McDonald House because I refuse to sleep on those hospital room beds. He will be in the PICU. I have no idea when I might be home. Sigh.

Levon is in surgery right now, same hospital. Mark is there with him and hopefully bringing him home today. Isaac is supposed to be in just one night, but if history serves, it will be a week or so.

Mark and Mindi have adopted five children at birth. Four of their children have special medical needs and complex care.

Their four-year-old son, Isaac, has Down syndrome, and he is in renal failure.

Isaac has been put on the transplant list. On August 12, someone donated their kidney in Isaac's name. He now has a "voucher" for his new kidney, when the transplant is about to happen.

Mark and Mindi live 90 miles from the hospital. Mark works the overnight shift and will be taking Family Medical Leave, which means he keeps his job but does not get paid.

Because someone has to be with their one-year-old son 24/7 and they want someone to be with Isaac at the hospital, they are hoping to raise some funds to help them in this long journey. Unfortunately, with no family nearby and very few friends who can take care of the other children, this is really the best option for them.

A little about their other children:

Tess, 11 years old, has CHARGE syndrome, is deaf, has a feeding tube, and had a thymus transplant.
Adam, 9 years old, is neurotypical.
Quinn, 7 years old, has Down syndrome.
Levon, 1 year old, has Goldenhar Syndrome, is trach dependent, is deaf, and has a G-tube.

Any and all money raised will aid in the help of gas, food, and any other expenses incurred during the transplant journey.

This link will send you to a site where you can see if you would be a suitable donor. If you aren't a match for Isaac Piasecki, there is someone out there (way too many someone's) who could benefit from a kidney transplant. And if you mention Isaac Piasecki, dob 1/28/21, in your application, Isaac gets moved up on the list even if you aren't a match.

I know it's a lot, a LOT lot, to ask.

If you cannot or don't want to donate, could you keep this family in your thoughts and prayers? They have a lot going on right now.

Their 11-year-old daughter is going to need open heart surgery probably this year. She had CHARGE syndrome, is deaf, has a feeding tube and has had a thymus transplant.

Their 8-year-old son is in the middle of getting braces and eyeglasses.

Their 6-year-old daughter, who has Down syndrome, was just fitted with eyeglasses and is needing speech and feeding therapy to help her eat solids.

Then there is 4 year old Isaac, who has Down syndrome, is in renal failure and has chronic lung disease.

One year old Levon has a trach, a feeding tube, is on all sorts of monitors and alarms, and is deaf. He is booked for one surgery so far this year and will probably have more to come.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this lengthy description of the Piasecki family. They appreciate you!

People have been asking how else they can help the family. They do have a registry set up for Isaac and Mindi when they have to live in Milwaukee for three months, in isolation.

Prayers. Patience. Help with the kids. Restaurant and food cards (Mark doesn't cook and Mindi will be away for months). Good vibes. Some more patience, as they are dealing with a lot. Meal trains. Healing thoughts and good juju.

Thank you.

WE ARE IN NEENAH, WISCONSIN

Our son is now 20 months old. He has a trach, no vent. He has a Gtube and receives pump feeds. Sometimes he needs breathing treatments (maybe once a month). Sometimes he likes snuggling. Sometimes he needs his diaper or clothing or bedding changed. He is deaf but you can read how he's feeling by just looking at his face. He has Goldenhar Syndrome.

He is such a great baby and really deserves the best care. Is that you?

We are looking for evening and overnight shifts to be covered by an RN or LPN. The pay is through Forward Health.

Please send a private message to me here on Facebook. Or an email to Wintodinto@yahoo.com. Or text me at 920 931 5718. I promise that I will respond ASAP.

Tess is having a sedated ABR at Children's this Friday. They are testing to see why she is regaining her hearing....and to see what new fangled appliances they can use to increase her hearing further. She could possibly be a CI candidate, where she wasn't six years ago. Her audiologist is amazing that her hearing seems to be coming back.

Next Friday, Isaac is having surgery to place a Gtube in anticipation of his kidney transplant. I plan on staying at the Ronald McDonald House for maybe four or five days while he is inpatient.

I think that there's another surgery coming up in May for one of my children. I have to look at my handy dandy huge desk calendar.

If you can keep us all in your thoughts and/or prayers for the foreseeable future, that would be fabulous. Tess will probably be having open heart surgery this year and Isaac could be having his transplant if a donor is found.

I am obliged at this time to link you up with our GoFundMe account and with the kidney donation site to see if you can donate a kidney and save a life.

Blessings.
