📆 Today marks the start of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), and this year’s theme, “25 Years Stronger: Looking Back, Moving Forward,” is both a reflection and a call to action.

For 25 years, SAAM has brought together survivors, advocates, and communities in the fight to end sexual violence. While we’ve made powerful strides forward, there is still SO much work ahead. ⁠

Transgender Day of Visibility began in 2009 as a day of awareness to celebrate the successes of transgender and gender-nonconforming people. Today and everyday Reach Counseling embraces and values everyone’s identity, and we encourage our community to apply this inclusion and acceptance as well.

Come join us for a new kind of support group - a collective healing space - ANCHOR.

Over the last decade, we have seen sexual violence take center stage in a variety of ways. In 2017, the movement took the world by storm. Men like Harry Weinstein, Larry Nassar, and Bill Cosby were held accountable for decades of abuse against women and girls, and survivors were starting to see glimpses of hope that justice could eventually be served.

Now, in 2026, the Epstein Files are back in the spotlight. Reach Counseling understands that when stories like these dominate our news cycles, feelings of hope for justice can also come with, and be overshadowed by, painful triggers and re-traumatization for those who have experienced sexual abuse and assault.

Reach Counseling provides 24/7 crisis response and emotional support for survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones in Winnebago, Outagamie, and Calumet Counties. Reach also offers Victim Advocacy and Trauma Counseling.
