GLRC Wrapped is here!!!

We want to share a little about 2025 and highlight the things we did in service of people across the Upper Peninsula.

We had some amazing events such for National Recovery Month, as we held our 18th annual Run for Recovery in Sault Ste. Marie and in Marquette which saw record turn out and support. Further, our benefit concert at Strega Nonna with Mary Gauthier and Jamiee Harris had excellent music and food for a cause. We cant wait for next year's 19th Run for Recovery.

Community support was abundant! We were fortunate with the grant season and with community support pouring in. It takes a village, and community gifting turnout for special projects, compassionate care fund for individuals in need, Skis for adolescents, Christmas giving, Soo house expansion, and more was instrumental for GLRC clients!

We dug in and set ground for expansion of our women's residential services in the Soo. This project expands our services in the region and increases our capacity to help. It is in works, and is coming along. More to come on the progress!😉

So much more great things happened, and more to come. We look forward to 2026 and the work that is to be done!

🥳January is Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Month in Michigan! To celebrate and spread awareness about this month we want to share a little info about SDOH, how important it is, and highlight the services that GLRC provides to help address it.

Social Determinants of Health are the non-medical factors that affect people's health and well-being. SDOH factors could include disparities in housing, food, jobs, and safe neighborhoods. These issues can affect everyone and anyone no matter what.

Need help with SDOH-related issues? At Great Lakes Recovery Centers (GLRC), we offer our Compass Care Services and Medical Services that could help address potential SDOH Issues. Our teams of dedicated professionals assist individuals affected by disparities in SDOH and work with them to improve their conditions.
