I’m starting this new cycle with deep gratitude after being interviewed by Jennifer Hotes on the Curious Cat Podcast. Jennifer is a gifted interviewer, and our conversation flowed into some tender and powerful territory.

We haven’t seen this since 1861. 🏛️✨

Neptune is moving out of dreamy Pisces where it’s mostly been hanging out since 2011. And heading into the firey sign of Aries.

Why is this a big deal?

Well, to start, Neptune is the “planet of spirituality”, so it’s bound to influence both your personal spiritual journey and all of human evolution.

And historically, major changes happen when Neptune moves into Aries (which it does about every 165 years).

We’re talking major geopolitical events - many with spiritual overtones - such as:

✔The start of the U.S. Civil War (1861)

✔The capture of Nojpetén, the capital of the Itza Maya, by the Spanish, marking the fall of the last independent Maya state in Mesoamerica (1697)

✔King Henry VIII marries Anne Bolyn, thumbing his nose at papal authority and triggering the English Reformation (1533)

✔Timur (Tamarlane) establishes his empire in central Asia, consolidating power in the region and shaping its politics and culture for centuries (1370)

✔Ghengis Khan founds the Mongol Empire (1206)

✔The restoration of the English royal line and the return of power to Christian forces in Turkey after 4 centuries (1042)

✔And the list goes on.

In short, Neptune entering Aries signals the fall and rise of empires. Combined with 2026 being the year of the Fire Horse, it looks like we could see some exciting times ahead of us this year.

And it all starts in January 2026.

How can we better understand and make the best of this powerful time?

I certainly don’t have all the answers, but I’ve recorded a new video to share what I’m seeing through the lens of my own intuition and the wisdom of the Spirit Animals.

My hope is that it helps you find your own center of gravity as the world begins to shift.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I'm thinking about what I'm most grateful for in my work.

It's not the paintings that sell or the commissions that come in—though I'm thankful for those too.

It's the messages from people like you who tell me, "I pulled out my art supplies because of something you wrote." That touches my soul more deeply than I can express.

I wrote something in my journal recently that I want to share with you:

"It is not the outcome of your art that is most significant. It is the act of doing it. The act of performing art opens portals and changes the frequency around you. It changes your reality even if no one else ever sees the result."

As we move into the home stretch of 2025, please listen for that creative whisper.

Maybe it calls you to paint or draw. Maybe it invites you to sing, to dance, or to create beauty in your kitchen.

However it shows up for you, honor it.

That impulse comes from your soul, and it deserves your loving attention.

Thank you for being part of this community. Thank you for creating, and for sharing your voice with the world in your own special way.

Dug out the acrylics today for a new piece. Started with one vision—ravens—but the painting had other ideas. By the time I stepped back, birch trees had emerged instead.

This is just the first layer of what may be many. It could look entirely different by the time it's done.

This is what I love about intuitive painting: the willingness to follow where the work wants to go, even when it surprises you.

Evolution of a painting.

This one started as a purely intuitive piece painted during one of Whitney Freya's online art workshops back in 2021.

I liked the energy of the first layer, and the etherial colors, but it felt ambiguous, like I couldn't really feel it shaping up into anything.

So, I let it sit for a couple of days.

When I came back to it, the frog showed up almost right away. The final piece came together super fast - I almost couldn't paint fast enough to keep up with the intuitive process!

Sometimes in life, like in art, things don't turn out as we had planned - they turn out better than we could have imagined!
