In the entryway of Wilson Medical Center, the Auxiliary bench now holds a plaque honoring Brenda Williams, LPN, a name that continues to mean so much to our hospital family and community.

Brenda was the definition of a caregiver. Her family shared stories of a woman who showed up each day with purpose, compassion, and an unwavering sense of responsibility. She was deeply dependable, endlessly hardworking, and always willing to go above and beyond for her patients and for her coworkers.

Those who knew Brenda describe her as the nurse everyone hoped to have by their side. She didn’t just care for patients; she cared for the people caring for them, quietly leading by example and serving as a role model for younger staff.

Brenda’s family came together to donate this bench plaque, intentionally placing it in the hospital’s busy entryway, a space filled with movement, emotion, and daily life. It is a meaningful way to ensure her warmth, dedication, and the quiet joy she found in helping others remain part of Wilson Medical Center.

For her family, this plaque is more than a marker. It is a promise that Brenda’s legacy of kindness, gentleness, and expertise will continue to live on. And for all of us, it is a reminder of what it truly means to be a nurse, a colleague, and a compassionate human being.

Her legacy will continue to inspire. And with every person who pauses on that bench, she will be remembered and honored.

Our staff have been busy decorating their doors, and they look amazing! If you’re in the building this morning, feel free to swing by our lobby and vote for your favorite decorated door before 10:00 a.m. Just grab a slip, write down the door number that makes you smile the most, and drop it in the box - it only takes a second!

A big thank-you to everyone who decorated a door. The creativity and Christmas spirit have been SO fun to see!
