We are so proud to share this moment from the NAMI National Conference in Washington, D.C. 💙

Our Executive Director, Anna, was invited to present on a panel discussing disaster recovery and the essential role mental health plays in rebuilding lives and communities. She spoke about our experiences supporting recovery efforts after the April 2024 tornado that struck Minden, Iowa — a story that represents the strength and resilience of our local communities.

Our Executive Director is spending the week in Washington, D.C. at the Executive Directors Leadership Exchange (EDLE) — a gathering of NAMI leaders from across the country. 💚

This conference is all about learning, collaborating, and strengthening the work we do here in Southwest Iowa. She’s connecting with other Executive Directors, sharing ideas, gaining new tools, and advocating for the needs of our communities back home.

We’re grateful for her dedication and for representing NAMI Southwest Iowa on a national level. The work happening there today helps us bring better support, stronger programs, and more hope to the people we serve.
