⚫--⚫ Odd Haugen set one of the wildest grip records ever with the Thomas Inch dumbbell.

At 66 years old he lifted the 78 kg (172 lb) Inch dumbbell 63 times with one arm in just 10 minutes.

Most lifters are happy just to get that bell off the floor once.

His world record was set back in 2016 at a grip contest and it still turns heads in the strength world today.

What makes it even more impressive is that it is not an age-group or “masters” record, but an open world record that any lifter has to chase.

That means younger, heavier, and peak-level athletes are all measured against what he did in his mid-sixties.

It’s a clear reminder that steady training, smart recovery, and stubborn effort can keep your strength high for decades.

If your grip is the weak link in your pulls, rows, or carries, training it on purpose might be the fastest way to push all your numbers up.
