Important Update from Mitchell’s Downtown Drug Store:

Starting November 28, 2025, we will be consolidating our two locations into one. All pharmacy services will move to our main location at 719 S. Neosho Blvd. For more than 30 years, we’ve been proud to care for the Neosho community with personal, hometown service.

We want to be clear —we are not closing. Our two stores are less than two miles apart, so this will be a very simple transition. This change brings our team under one roof so we can continue providing the same great care without stretching our staff across two stores. If you’re a current Downtown patient, your prescriptions will be filled and picked up at the Boulevard from November 28th and on. There won’t be any additional action needed on your end! Our Boulevard patients won’t see any changes.

This decision comes after a lot of thought, prayer, and trust. We truly feel the Lord nudging us to take the step that honors our team, protects our families, and positions us for the future. We’re trusting His plan and His timing, just as we always have.

Thank you for your continued trust and support. We’re grateful for the chance to keep serving you and your families for years to come!!

Here’s a real example (with patients info marked out). A patient had routine labs done in June and assumed their insurance would cover it. Months later, they received a surprise “past due” bill for $382.59. The worst part? If they had brought the exact same lab order to our clinic and paid cash, their total would have been over $100 less. Same tests. Same results. No surprise bill in the mail.

Most people don’t realize this, but:
— You have the right to take your lab order anywhere
— You can ask for the lab codes
— You can compare prices before getting stuck with a balance
— Insurance doesn’t always mean lower cost
