40 Years of Caring. Growing. Becoming.

2025 was a year we’ll never forget. As we celebrated 40 years of Central Valley Medical Center, we honored the eras that shaped us and embraced the growth that’s carrying us forward.

This year brought new beginnings with Dr. Shumway and Dr. Magallanes joining our team, the arrival of the Da Vinci robotic surgery system, and an expanded Santaquin Clinic to better serve our growing communities. We also paused to honor the legacy of longtime physicians and team members as they entered retirement. We are so grateful for the foundation they helped build.

Every chapter, every era, every milestone has led us here. And we’re just getting started.

In 2026, we’re excited to welcome full time, Neurosurgeon, Dr. Brian Anderson, a new internal medicine physician, Dr. Ollerton. As well as continue expanding services to meet the needs of the communities we proudly serve.

CVMC's annual caroling crew hit the hallways of the hospital this week. Bringing a smile and a song to those who are here with us during the holidays. For over 10 years Donni Pay has accompanied those willing staff members in spreading a little Christmas cheer.

We are so thankful to live in a community where our patients are too of mind for many.

These Juab High School Floriculture students put together a few arrangements to brighten those patients spending their holidays with us! Thank you to our Juab High School clubs, classes and administration that teach service and the importance of a kind gesture.

What an inspiring night with our Central Utah seniors at Journey to Medicine. CVMC physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals shared their real paths, and proof that success isn’t always a straight line.

The students were able to hear from Emily Magallanes MD, Misty Frampton RN, Todd Sorensen DO, Kelley Glenn RRT, Todd Larsen MD, and Randy Cuff COO.

One of our favorite reminders came from Dr. Todd Sorensen: “Pick a good goal. Let it challenge you. It’s okay to pivot, as long as you keep moving forward.”

Huge thanks to Alley Gee, our CTE partners, local advisors, and Snow College for helping create opportunities for these students. A night well spent.

Congratulations to JaBoe Garrett!

We’re proud to celebrate JaBoe, recipient of the Nurse Professionalism Award from the Utah Emergency Nurses Association.

JaBoe has been part of CVMC for over ten years and grown into an exceptional ER nurse known for her dedication and compassion. JaBoe has not only balanced the life as a nurse, but a dedicated mother as well.

Katy, CVMC ER Manager, shared: “No one is more deserving of this award. JaBoe is an incredible nurse and a true asset to our ER team.”

We’re grateful for everything she brings to CVMC. Congratulations, JaBoe!

Central Valley Medical Center, also known as CVMC, opened its doors as a small rural hospital owned by Juab County in the 1950’s. We have grown from a single hospital to a not-for-profit healthcare system that provides medical care to rural communities in Central Utah.

CVMC is a Critical Access Hospital that is a recognized and distinguished leader in Central Utah.
