Nothing makes us prouder than showing up for one of our own, and yesterday, UMC teammates did just that as we celebrated Michele Musto at the LeadingAge New Jersey & Delaware Awards Ceremony! 🎉👏

Michele, Volunteer Coordinator and External Marketing Lead at The Shores, a UMC Community, our full-service community in Ocean City, was presented with the 2026 Excellence in Community Service Award by James Zauner, Executive Director of The Shores, on behalf of LeadingAge.

Her passion for connection, service, and community brings people together every single day — and we’re so grateful to call her part of the UMC family.

UMC is proud to announce the launch of our new Vibrant Minds menu! 🍽️ 🙌

Now available at all of our full-service communities, the program features dishes made with a colorful variety of vegetables, berries, whole grains, and omega-3-rich fish, nuts, and seeds — all selected for their roles in supporting memory, attention, and mental acuity.

We started 2026 with a burst of energy at Cognitive Connections, Collingswood Manor, a UMC Community's free evidence‑based brain health program for adults experiencing Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or early memory concerns.

Our January session at the Collingswood Senior Center was filled with gentle yoga, lighthearted laughter, a spirited “name‑that‑tune” challenge, and more!

Cognitive Connections brings together the pillars of early brain wellness—social engagement, physical activity, mindfulness, and mental stimulation—and does so in a way that feels welcoming and accessible to all.
