Our chosen community member is Lester Stoecklein. We were able to gift him $500.00 to help with his cancer treatment expenses. He was nominated by participants who attended the Annual Cancer Awareness Walk and we are grateful to be able to help him in this small way during this difficult time.

We had 26 walkers join us Saturday for our 2nd Annual Cancer Awareness walk. It was a warm morning and participants got to cool off along the route by being sprayed with colored water. After the walk everyone enjoyed some yummy charcuterie done by The Wooden Spoon. ChateauVi Bohotique joined us and walkers were able to get permanent jewelry done while waiting for the raffle drawing to begin. Thank you to everyone who came and shared lots of laugh and fun with us while supporting an important cause.

Another big thank you to our sponsors who helped make this event possible: Heartland Credit Union, G&L Pharmacy, Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Fitzgerald Furniture, Farmers Bank and Trust, Ness County News, S & S Trailer Sales, Inc., Bradee’s Pumping Service and State Farm- Lindsey Boese Insurance Agency and too all those who donated items for our raffle drawing. The Walk shirts are in and are available to pick up today or tomorrow at the radiology department! You can also pick them up the morning of the walk at the Center.
