Tuesday, November 4, 2025, The Ness County Health Department will be offering Flu shots to the public from 5PM to 6PM. This will be walk in, no appointment is necessary. Please bring your insurance card. Also, there is options for those who do not have insurance. If this day does not work for you, you can always call the health department at 785-798-3388 and make an appointment to get your yearly flu shot!

Rabies is a preventable viral disease and any mammal can have it. Rabies is almost always fatal so it is important to keep a safe distance from wildlife, seek care for animal bites and vaccinate pets and livestock.

WIC Clients, As of today (October 2), the federal government shutdown is not affecting local WIC services. The Ness County WIC office is operating as usual. Please keep your appointments and continue to use your WIC benefits.

We will let you know of any changes as soon as we learn of them.
