Morgan, Sr. opened Morgan Funeral Home on May 1, 1922 at its current location on Main Street in downtown Netcong. Through several decades, Mr. Morgan served local families in their time of need. His son, the late Samuel H. Morgan, Jr. became a third-generation licensed funeral director in 1958 and joined hi

s father in business. Mr. continued to operate the business until his death in 1981. In 1999, Mr. Robert Kanapaux and his daughter, Ms. Melissa Kanapaux, both licensed funeral directors and owners of Whitham-Kanapaux Funeral Home in Rockaway, joined Mr. Samuel Morgan, Jr. in assisting with the daily operations of the funeral home. Today, the Kanapaux family continues to provide a variety of at-need services, along with pre-need planning to Netcong and the surrounding area. The staff at Morgan Funeral Home, Inc. continues to serve the community in a professional and caring manner following in the tradition of its founder, Samuel H.

Over the past couple of days, Emma has been in Washington, D.C., representing the heart and voice of funeral service. 🇺🇸

As one of 25 selected funeral directors nationwide for the NFDA Meet the Mentors program, Emma gained valuable insights from fellow funeral service leaders. She then took her experience to Capitol Hill, meeting with members of Congress to advocate for our field and the families we serve.

We're incredibly proud of Emma's dedication and drive. We look forward to seeing how she brings this experience back home to enhance the care and support we provide to our community.
