Did you know Dr. Ryan takes X-Rays? A couple weeks ago Dr. Ryan got a Saturday call that a 14-year-old patient had taken a bad fall at Sugar Bowl and needed an x-ray. He met him at the office and took an x-ray to confirm the fracture. He then gave him a temporary splint and a referral to see a local sports medicine physician who confirmed the splint was the right course of action for this fracture. In a few days Dr. Ryan will take a new set of X-rays to confirm things are healing properly and soon enough this young man will be on his way again. Our x-rays are more accessible and affordable than anyone in town so keep us in mind for the next time you’re in a situation where you need to take a look inside.

The had a beautiful event yesterday recognizing the phenomenal achievement of becoming a site of national significance, awarded by the National Register of Historic Places. This honor recognizes new research finding that architect Julia Morgan designed this house in Grass Valley, and years later used the design as a model for Hostess Houses everywhere during WWI. The history of Mary Hallock Foote, Julia Morgan and strong women of the past 100+ years make this house not only a community treasure, but a National treasure that is now recognized as such. Thank you to all the volunteers and historians and docents who make this place what it is! What an amazing community we live in.

Thank you! We’re here to support you wherever you are in your health journey, and appreciate your kind review! Dr. Patrick has lots of families that come in with their kiddos and we always have the toys ready, and the lollipops on standby. Sometimes busy parents apologize for having to bring their children with them, and we remind them we love to see families and friends and they are always welcome with whatever tribe they are bringing along. We’re a family business and we love seeing your family too!

River Run celebrated our 3-Year Anniversary this month and we were too busy having fun to remember. We are proud of the small business we’ve built, and we’re thankful for our amazing community of patients. We’ve now partnered with 13 local nonprofits and donated over $17,000, in addition to nearly 4-times that amount in free patient visits for the amazing nonprofit staff members. We sponsor our local farmers market, our local school gatherings and donate to nonprofits needing auction items or care. Last night, while having dinner with a physician friend, he mentioned that his patients really love to see Dr. Patrick because he tells them when they don’t have to come back anymore. While that’s not the best strategy for making money, it is what you get when you come to River Run. Dr. Patrick will listen to you, help you, and ensure you have everything you need to be pain free and happy. Our business is mostly run by word-of-mouth, so leaving a review and telling your friends and family about our services is the greatest gift you could give us. Thank you for being part of this community with us!
