For those who knew Keely - she has walked with our Medicine Family for over 15 years. She has been a huge support with our ceremonies, sweat lodges and vision quests over the years and was an ordained minister and Board Officer for the Church of the Essence.
She leaves behind her Mother Jackie and 3 children 17,8,7.. The children will reside with their father Micharl..

Threshold: The Rite of Death and Dying.

The Church of Essence presents an unique class - Threshold: The Rite of Death and Dying with Marza R Millar (Clinical Herbalist, RHT, BSN, MA ) and Elena Rayo (MA, MQP).

“Elena and I came together through the transition of her husband a few months ago. I was privileged to work with him throughout his crossing. Through this process we decided to offer this class to help others learn about Threshold Care. This 6-month course will take you on a journey into learning skills to assist in the process of transition.”

This course prepares the candidate to be a Certified Death Doula and Minister of Service to the families and the person in transition. It is a deeply intimate and personal journey into developing the skills of the healer to hold sacred space. We offer guidance in giving compassionate care of helping the dying to cross the Threshold and supporting the family through the process.

The course curriculum includes:
• developing your intuitive skills
• ancestral healing techniques
• supporting transition of mind, body and spirit
• working within the Threshold of preparing for death, and the full transition process
