Our awesome Cardiac Rehab team at NRMC celebrated this week with their patients with snacks after they completed their therapy session.

Celebrating this week annually, Cardiac Rehabilitation Week calls attention to the role of cardiac rehabilitation in reducing the potentially devastating effects of heart disease. About 800,000 people in the United States have a heart attack each year. Cardiac rehabilitation can not only help a person recover from a heart issue but prevent future complications.

The heart is considered the hardest-working and most fatigue-resistant muscle in the human body, pumping roughly 2,500 to 3,600 gallons of blood daily through 75,000 miles of vessels.

There are still spots open for the Cholesterol screening this Friday, 2/13.

Call 417-448-3710 to reserve a time.

In recognition of American Heart Month, the NRMC Foundation will be hosting the annual Cholesterol Screening on Friday, February 13th from 6:30 - 9 am.

While the screening is free, registration is required by calling 417-448-3710.

Results will include total cholesterol, LDL, HDL & triglyceride levels. A 12 hour fast is recommended for accurate results.
