Today is going to be a happy, sad, and emotional day. Today I say goodbye to my salon and close the doors. After 20 years of doing hair and starting my very first salon here in Nvis MN 15 years ago iam ready to move to the next chapter. Not only is this tough for me but for my children as well, they have grown up in the salon. This has been their main hub for after school hangouts, chilling with the friends, or for their sidewalk shenanigans. My daughter baylie was just 1 year old when I first opened my salon here in Nevis. My salon was the little yellow building that was right behind the grocery store at the time. It was a scary time for me to open a salon. My husband was deployed to Afghanistan at the time, my daughter was 1 year old, and the only thing I knew about nevis was we hated them from when I was in high-school! LOL our schools were big rivals. So I left my job in bemidji, and took a chance at starting a brand new business in this town. Turns out it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have met so many wonderful people and have developed so many great relationships in this town. I have seen what an awesome community looks like and how they can come together for those in need. I couldn't have asked to be part of a better community than this. I have watched my kids grow here in this town and blossomed some wonderful friendships. Things have changed many times over the years, ive moved the salon and left for a couoke years to park rapids and did my clients from my home, but eventually decided to come back and have been on the little muskie corner ever since. That was 8 years ago. I want to give a huge thank you to all my clients without any of you and your support non of this would have been possible. I love you all and am going to miss doing your hair and our talks so incredibly much. From the laughs in the salon, to puppy cuddles, to fun on the muni deck in between clients. I can say I have had a dream business and following of people here, I couldn't have asked for anything better. As I finish my last client, and shut my doors to hair for the last time, a tear will shed and I will always treasure my memories and people I have encountered throughout my time and experience as a stylist and salon owner.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH
Hope to see you all around and you better come say hi if im out and about!! 🤣
Much love and appreciation,
