Woodbine enjoyed a visit The Holiday Project Volunteers organized by Paula Trimble. They helped us decorate for the Holiday season, visited residents and spread cheer in our community.

The Holiday Project is a volunteer run, national organization started in 1972 that organizes visits and gift giving for people who are residing in hospitals, shelters, senior communities and other institutions during Christmas, Hanukkah and other holidays throughout the year. We want to extend a big thank you to our November Meals on Wheels volunteer, Melissa Claudio, Director of Respiratory Therapy.

In addition to volunteering for meal deliveries, We are proud to partner with Senior Services of Alexandria to provide the Caring Connection program complementary to Alexandria City residents for one week after a stay in our care. The program consists of Meals on Wheels delivery and a well-check by Senior Services to ensure a safe return to home and continued successful recovery!
