Congratulations to Rosemary, who recently returned home after completing her rehabilitation program with us! 🎉

A fall had left Rosemary with several bone fractures and difficulty swallowing. Our physical, occupational, and speech therapists worked with her to regain independence in mobility, functional tasks, and swallowing. "They put me back on my feet," she said Rosemary of her experience.

Best of all, Rosemary was able to return home with her husband stronger and more functional and able to eat and drink a regular diet! Way to go, Rosemary, we wish you all the best! 💚

Beautifully situated in a wooded area in the coastal town of New Bedford, Massachusetts, The Oaks, a Life Care Centers of America facility, has a homelike atmosphere that welcomes our residents and patients into the Life Care family. Within 15 minutes of New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital and St. Luke's Hospital, our nursing home is a perfect location for short-term rehabilitation, long-term care and post-operative recovery.

Focusing on inpatient rehabilitation with 24-hour skilled nursing care, The Oaks' in-house team of therapists and nurses individualizes care based on each resident's and patient's personal needs and goals. Our facility features state-of-the-art equipment such as the VitalStim®therapy system for swallowing disorders, as well as Closed Pulse Irrigation™ wound care.
