New Bedford Community Health will resume normal hours of operation on Thursday, February 26th.

💻 Telehealth: 7:40 AM – 7:00 PM

Weather Alert & Closure Notice — Monday, February 23 ❄️

Due to the impending blizzard and hazardous conditions, New Bedford Community Health will be CLOSED on Monday, February 23rd to ensure the safety of our patients, staff, and community.

City officials are urging residents to remain indoors and avoid unnecessary travel during the storm.

🚨 Emergency Information – City of New Bedford

• Call 911 to report downed power lines, medical emergencies, fires, or other urgent situations.
• Police (Non-Emergency): (508) 991-6350
• Report power outages/service disruptions: Eversource at 1-800-592-2000

⚠️ Residents are strongly encouraged to stay away from downed power lines and report them immediately.

🚗 Parking Ban: A citywide parking ban is in effect beginning at 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 22nd.

🚫 The public is urged to stay inside and off the roads to allow emergency personnel and DPW crews to work safely.

The City is Preparing for a Blizzard:

- Parking Ban is in effect as of 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22
- Schools and City offices/facilities are closed Monday, Feb. 23
- Trash collection is delayed by one day this week
- Mayor Jon Mitchell declared a local State of Emergency
- Check our social media accounts, website and local media outlets for updates during and after the storm.

Sunday-Monday 2.22-23.2026
Due to the expected snow storm. All guests who register for the Overflow today will be allowed to stay until Tuesday morning. Breakfast lunch and dinner will be provided. There will not be any registration for the Overflow on Monday, February 22nd under the pretense and expectation that all shelter beds will be at capacity. If there are any vacancies then the beds will be filled as appropriate.
