Abbey Karrels joined the ECFA Team as an Adoption Caseworker on September 22, 2025! Adoption has been a special part of her family’s story, and she is overjoyed to have the opportunity to walk alongside and support ECFA families during their very own adoption journeys. Abbey has extensive experience in working with children and families in a variety of community settings and holds a master’s degree in professional counseling from Concordia University. We are so blessed to have Abbey on our team! 💜✨

October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month 💗💙

Every life—whether seen or unseen—carries value.

These little ones mattered… every heartbeat, every hope, every name. In the quiet, God’s promise to be “near to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18) has been our anchor.

This month, we invite you to join us in lighting a candle—remembering the children who we never met or only held for a little while, praying for mourning parents, and stepping deeper into our calling to protect life with clarity, courage, and compassion.
