Next Step in Day Services is a Adult Day Care facility that offers comprehensive care and recreational activities for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Next Step is seeking a qualified individual to oversee one of our two locations located in New Berlin.
Specific Qualifications:
· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with Care Teams including, but not limited to Guardians, Care Managers, Care Nurses, AFH and CBRF Managers, etc.
· Ability to schedule and carry out bi-annual Staffing's for all participants within his/her program.
· Ability to supervise, guide, lead, and train Instructors, Lead Instructors and Floor Supervisors and ensure program policies and procedures are being followed.
-Ability to create/update clinical documentation for participants on his/her case load.
-Ability to work independently, display good problem solving strategies, and maintain emotional control within a stressful situation.
-Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
-Good organizational and time management skills.
-Ability to lift, push and pull at least 35lbs.
-Ability to perform repetitive motions of sitting, standing, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs throughout a normal work day.
-Mental health/healthcare experience highly preferred.
