Plot twist: I got reported to the medical board for... doing my job too well.

Okay, that's not exactly what happened.

Here's the real story:

I posted a video about stimulants and ADHD. Some people loved it. Some people got mad.

One psychologist got SO mad she reported me to the Wisconsin medical board.

Not for malpractice. Not for harming patients.

For having an opinion she disagreed with.

Wild, right?

My nervous system's first response: Full panic. Anxiety. Victim mode.

My second response: Oh wait. I literally teach people how to handle this exact thing.

So I:
• Regulated my nervous system (breath, body, grounding)
• Reached out for support (got incredible testimonials)
• Reframed the narrative (this is happening FOR me, not TO me)
• Stood by my work (because I can)

Then, I looked her up and as I was looking at her picture intently, I decided to extend compassion to her. After all, if I truly believe in my quantum physics philosophy (quantum entanglement, we are all ONE, etc), then she is a reflection, part of the same unified field of consciousness that I am a part of.

Wait, I am not being all spiritual, all good. Not at all.

Holding anger, vengefulness, demanding justice and retribution is so much more heavy and costly (in terms of energy, time, etc) than forgiveness, acceptance and moving on.

I was able to do this by being present, aware, breathing through it, not numbing any emotion but allowing the energy to flow through me and finally, surrendering to the Divine.

So then, I slept really well. I felt incredible passion and energy, drive to finally finish my book and submit to my publisher, etc.

Moral of the story:

Satyam Eva Jayente: Truth Alone Prevails.

I'll post a part 2 soon with the actual evidence behind my claims for those who want to see it 😊

Here are my thoughts on this issue. When you see something, say something - lovingly, respectfully, and always keeping the best interest of the child in mind. For this, one has to be self aware, practice acceptance, and it is not scoring points, but acting in the interest of the common good.

Highly recommend books like:

1. Conscious parenting by Dr Shefali.

Even more, I recommend this 2nd book - follow along as I will share a picture and I will share why this book has the potential to transform your life in amazing ways....if you let it. ♥️.

I am sharing such messages because of the things I am passionate about and what I see play out in my clinical practice as well as in personal life.

Subtle, soft trauma.reel 1. Reel 2 to follow. I get this question in therapy especially when I am working with only one parent.

Here's my question. If you notice a parent (could be your spouse) negatively impact their own child, would you intervene and say something?

My thoughts about the influencers vs doctors debate happening in Indian social media space regarding the severe push for HPV vaccines.

Health freedom
Informed consent
Empowered vs fear based decision making
Only diet and lifestyle creates health.

Rigid rules miss the point.

The question isn't "are hugs allowed or not allowed."

The question is: What does this person actually need in this moment? And is it in their best interest?

Some patients have never experienced safe touch. A compassionate hug at the right moment can be profoundly healing.

Some patients have been violated by people in power. Any physical contact would re-traumatize them.

The difference isn't in the hug itself. It's in the relationship, the context, and the intention.

I've practiced for 15 years. I've had patients who needed that moment of human connection, and it helped them feel safe for the first time in their lives.

And I've had patients where any touch would have been a violation.

The answer isn't a universal rule.

It's attunement. Discernment. And always asking: Is this truly in the patient's best interest?

That's what ethical practice actually looks like.

Yes- when anxiety fires, the amygdala takes over and the prefrontal cortex goes offline. That's real. That's why anxious people struggle to think clearly, make decisions, feel in control of their own reactions.

But here's the question this explanation never gets to: why is the amygdala so easily triggered in the first place?

Because in a healthy, regulated nervous system, that threat response is proportionate. It fires when there's actual danger and comes back down.

What I see in my patients is a nervous system so chronically dysregulated that the amygdala is essentially always on. And nobody is asking why.

Gut inflammation directly affects how the brain processes threat.

Unresolved trauma keeps the nervous system primed for danger that already passed.

Toxin load creates neuroinflammation that the brain registers as a constant low-grade alarm.

Understanding the mechanism is a start. But it's not the answer.

In 2 days I'm hosting a free masterclass- How to Heal from Anxiety for Good. Not the mechanism. The cause.

If you’ve been told anxiety is something you just manage… I see it differently.

There is always a reason your nervous system is in distress.
