Happy Birthday to the heart of tribe, the PHM matriarch, Dr. Hanson. We look forward to this day each year to celebrate all she does for so many - patients and families, staff and friends. She’s a giver of her knowledge as a mentor and lecturer, her care and talents as a skilled Orthodontist and Craniofacial specialist, and her time, love and attention as one of a two-part team leading our gang at PHM.
If you were at the office, you saw it decorated and all of us dressed up to make "work" as fun as possible while showing the love to Dr. Hanson. She isn’t shy about her birthday, she loves this day as well! 😆 We try to have her favorites on the lunch menu (check out the awesome charcuterie board Amanda put together!).
To Dr. Hanson - we hope you feel the love coming from every direction you turn. We’re lucky to feel like such a priority in your everyday, and appreciate your constant examples of kindness for the world to see. Cheers to you! ❤️🧡💛💚💜

We had such a fun night out at WhirlyBall and the Pivot Room in Brookfield! We don't quite get enough Christmas celebrating so we do another little party in February. 😂 But the highlight of the night was celebrating Dr. Melugin. As many of you know, he's made the bittersweet decision to cut back a little, continuiing to spend a few days per week at Children's where he can be a triple threat as Orthodontist, Oral Surgeon, and Teacher/Mentor. We have been so blessed to have him at PHM for 20+ years! We're happy knowing that we'll still see him often - he can't ever get rid of us! It was also great to see some of the old gang who came to give their well-wishes. Thanks for all of you that could make it! Thanks to Dr. Hanson, Dr. Payne, and Dr. Beard for great evening.

We love and miss you , Dr. Melugin! See you soon!

Today is a day we honor all veterans for the sacrifices made to protect the freedom and rights of all. 🇱🇷
This is Dr. Hanson's favorite veteran! Her dad, a World War II POW and recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, a military medal awarded to US armed forces members for extraordinary achievement or heroism during aerial flight. He was shot down over Italy on Valentines Day 1944, saved a fellow soldier from their burning plane, spent 2 years as a POW, and made it home to eventually raise an oustanding human being in Dr. Hanson, alongside his loving wife, Alice. Thank you for service, 2nd Lieutenant Bill Rossman (10/9/1923 - 1/4/2015).

We're so excited he's joined the team of wonderfully talented doctors we have at PHM Orthodontists - he's mixing right in with the best in the biz. 😁

Every year, we as a team look forward to Halloween. 👻💀🎃 We love these opportunities to have a little extra fun and make our patients smile at our costume attempts. As soon as the leaves start turning, the chatter begins. 😁 Patients will intentionally schedule on Halloween. We're lucky to be led by doctors that not only allow, but join in every step of the way. Happy Halloweeeeen, all!

What to say about this one... Leisa Barnes has been with PHM for 23 years and is the cream of the crop of Treatment Coordinators. She has been instrumental in leading the team, implementing and training, and delivering thousands of consultations to families over the years. It seems crazy to think that yesterday was her last day in that seat as she took the leap into retirement.
Aside from being an amazing colleague, Leisa is a great friend to many at PHM. She never says 'no' to an outing, "safety meeting, or one of our crazy office theme days. She was always a fierce competitor in our Halloween pumpkin decorating and costume contests. Her homemade kombucha and always perfectly executed recipes (of all varieties) have been enjoyed by the office for so many years.
Last night we were fortunate to be able to spend the evening at Za in Elm Grove celebrating her and wishing her the best retirement a gal of her calibre should get. We know that we'll see her often, just maybe not in scrubs (or in scrubs, we won't judge 😆). We love you, Leisa - thank you for everything! See you sooooon. 😘
