With the recent federal government shutdown affecting the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's ability to support Toys for Tots, our community's children need us now more than ever! The New Bern Police Department is continuing its partnership to ensure that every child has a happy holiday season.
Join us and our long-time partners, Walmart and the Colonial Capital Rods & Classic Cars Club, for our annual "Stuff the SRV" toy drive!

🇺🇸 Now Welcoming New Clients in Jacksonville — Meet Todd Erler, LCSWA 🇺🇸

We’re honored to introduce Todd Erler, now accepting new clients in our Jacksonville office!

Todd has proudly called New Bern, North Carolina home for over 12 years. A retired U.S. Marine Master Sergeant, Todd served 22 years of honorable service before pursuing his calling to help others through mental health counseling. He holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Walden University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) in North Carolina.

Having faced and overcome his own challenges, Todd brings deep empathy, authenticity, and a trauma-informed approach to his work. He believes real change begins when people feel seen, heard, and understood — not judged.

Todd specializes in supporting veterans, first responders, individuals with complex trauma, and anyone who feels traditional therapy hasn’t quite fit their needs. His mission is simple: to meet clients where they are, walk beside them on their journey, and help shoulder their burdens while learning and growing together.

We are incredibly grateful for each and every individual we get to work with here at Valor Horses for Heroes. Today, and every day, we want to take a moment to say a special thank you and honor those who have served our country.

It is truly a blessing and an honor to work alongside our veterans — men and women who have signed up to do anything and everything for our nation. We know that many are taught how to put the uniform on, but not how to take it off.

Being part of the healing journey for these amazing individuals is something we never take lightly. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and for trusting us to walk beside you in your journey of healing. 💙🐴❤️

Individuals, families and couples are invited to come out to the college Saturday, Nov. 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. and have free, Fall-themed photos taken!
