SPOT On Therapy Center, formerly The Speech Coach, PLLC is a pediatric clinic providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy to children in need. We are located at 242 Craven Street in Downtown New Bern and 230 Stonebridge Square in Havelock. Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Therapy services are offered at SPOT On Therapy Center. We provide evaluations and treatment for the developmental needs of children. At SPOT On Therapy Center, we strive to bring awareness and training opportunities to the families in our community and surrounding areas who care for loved ones with special needs.

🌟 Program Overview
Food Explorers at Home is a virtual, play-based program designed to help children build positive relationships with food through education, exploration, and curiosity.

Through themed monthly lessons and hands-on activities, children learn about where food comes from, how it affects their bodies, and how to engage with new foods in a relaxed, sensory-friendly way. The program promotes curiosity over pressure, helping children gain confidence, communication skills, and flexibility around eating.

🎯 Mission and Goals
Our mission is to empower children and families to approach food with curiosity, confidence, and connection.

Program Goals:
Foster positive sensory experiences with food through playful, low-pressure exploration.

Educate families about nutrition, food origins, and the body’s needs in child-friendly ways.

Promote healthy communication around eating and food preferences.

Support caregivers in building consistent, low-stress food routines at home.

Create community among families navigating selective or hesitant eating.
