Halloween brought some festive energy to the clinic! Even with many of our team members out, those here made the most of the day and enjoyed a little celebration together. We appreciate this team and the positive spirit they bring to our patients and to one another!

2 of our PT assistants, Brandon Goddin and Ashley Ortiz, had the pleasure of visiting Pamlico Primary School to work with students in first through third grade! The goal of the event was to introduce children to different aspects of physical therapy and overall health in an engaging, hands-on way.

Students participated in several interactive activities using dyna discs, balance boards, resistance bands, and Bosu balls. Through these exercises, they learned about balance and proprioception, which is the awareness of where the body is in space.

It was a rewarding experience for everyone involved, and we were thrilled to see how much the students enjoyed learning through movement while gaining a better understanding of the importance of physical health!

We had a great time supporting our friends at Sound Fitness today!

Brandon Goddin, one of our physical therapist assistants, and Daniel Henry, one of our physical therapists, set up a table where they talked with members about common issues like shoulder impingement and knee pain. They brought along our anatomical models to show what might be happening with things like an irritated meniscus or shoulder pain, and answered lots of great questions.

We’re not only about physical therapy,
we’re about encouraging people to keep staying healthy and confident in the gym after physical therapy. Sound Fitness is the perfect place for that next step, and we loved helping highlight all the benefits of staying active here.
