Here's something New Bern area residents may not know about me. This altered the course of my life. It's also a BIG reason why I'm committed to paying it forward to my local community.
My journey to become a chiropractor started, like many, as a patient. Growing up as a competitive swimmer, I was eager to compete at the collegiate level. But out of nowhere - without any major trauma or injury - I began to experience nagging lower back pain that only got worse. I tried everything: ice, heat, massage, physical therapy, and medications. Nothing worked. I kept pushing through the pain until one day my function was gone. I started losing strength in my legs. I couldn’t keep up in the pool, and the frustration weighed on me mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Eventually, I had to pivot. I redirected my energy into academics, studying chemistry and then kinesiology at the University of Alabama. It was there that my path truly changed. I met Dr. Corey Neill, a chiropractor who graciously allowed me to shadow his practice. What I saw in his office blew me away. For the first time, I witnessed how chiropractic care could truly transform lives - not just relieve pain. That day, I knew I had found my calling and immediately applied to Palmer Chiropractic College.
Receiving consistent chiropractic care was nothing short of life-changing. Not only did my pain disappear and strength return, but my overall health improved in ways I didn’t even realize I needed. That experience lit a fire inside me to help others reclaim their lives, too.
After graduating from Palmer, I returned to the very practice where my journey began. Soon after, the practice expanded its focus to pregnancy, perinatal, and pediatric care. That’s when I dove into advanced training through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Through that work, I discovered my greatest passion: supporting families during pregnancy and in the early years of life.
Helping parents as they grow their families is incredibly rewarding because it lays the foundation for healthier, stronger generations. I’ve come to realize that true health is not just the absence of disease - it’s the ability to fully express life through a clear and connected nervous system.
My goal is simple: to empower you to trust your body, listen to its whispers before they become screams, and understand the root cause of your health challenges. I believe prevention is far easier than correction. Chiropractic care removes interference, restores communication between brain and body, and allows us to function exactly as we were designed.
The power that made the body, heals the body. Get adjusted. Get well. Live fully. Spread joy.
