Hello Patients!!! We hope you are all well! We are planning to open May 11 to resume our normal operations. We have been through a lot as a community over the past few months. We are all anxious to return to “normal”, however our new “normal” is going to be slightly different. This is for the health and safety of our staff and of course our patients.

We have always followed infection control recommendations from the ADA, CDC, and OSHA. At your next appointment the staff will be wearing more PPE and there will be some changes made for appointments.

*Our office will screen all patients with a series of questions prior to your appointment. You will receive these same questions at your appointment.

*When you enter the office you will be asked to use hand sanitizer.

*Temporarily, our waiting room will be closed. When you arrive at the office, call and someone will come to the car to take your temperature and have you answer the questionnaire again. When we are ready to take you back for treatment we will call you and you will go straight to your treatment room. We also ask that at this time only the patient comes in the building.

*Appointments will be scheduled to allow social distancing. This means there will be fewer allotted times, but this is to again maximize safety for patients and staff and to allow for disinfecting procedures. We will do our best to reduce wait times.

We look forward to seeing our patients again. If you have an appointment we will be contacting you soon. All missed appointments due to closure will be rescheduled as quickly as possible. Please be patient with us as we all adjust to our new normal. If you have any questions please call the office at (252) 637-1919.

Covid-19 update:

Our office will continue to operate on an emergency basis only until April 29. If you are a patient experiencing a true dental emergency please call the office at 252-637-1919 and you will be given a specific appointment time. We are doing our best to care for you as well as keep our staff healthy! Thank you for your patience during this time. Stay well!!

We will be adhering to the recommended guidelines set by the NC State Board. As of March 18-April 1 we will only be seeing patients on an emergency basis. Please call the office if you feel you need to be seen during this time. Thank you for your patience during this challenging time. As always our patients well being is very important to us and we will continue to provide the best dental care possible!

In light of COVID-19, the State Board of Dental Examiners suggests NC dentists adhere to its new recommendation in an effort to keep both practitioners and patients safe.

"...the NC State Board of Dental Examiners strongly recommends that dentists put in place the best possible infection control and sterilization protocols for both operatories and common waiting areas. In addition, dentists should consider postponing elective or non-urgent care for two weeks beginning 17 March 2020."

We are taking this virus seriously and want our patients to know safety is our highest priority. The CDC and ADA have provided us guidance and recommendations already in place in our offices. We are taking additional measures to prevent spread of the virus and to limit patient exposure, including increased patient screening, enhanced scheduling and supplemental infection control. Please be patient with us upon check in as we screen you for fever and ask you to wash your hands. This is for your safety, the safety of our other patients and the safety of our staff.

If you have any of the following, please contact our office prior to your appointment:

1. If you are sick, have a fever over 100.4, a cough, and/or
trouble breathing;
2. Have been in contact with another person who has been
diagnosed with or suspected of having COVID-19;
3. Traveled to a high-risk location within 14 days; or
4. Been diagnosed with COVID-19.

We are doing our part to limit the spread of this virus, please be responsible citizens during these uncertain times. Thank you!
