You may have noticed that we have not implemented our traditional advent calendar this year. I extend my sincerest apologies to those who have grown accustomed to this annual tradition.

However, this year my focus and energy have been directed towards providing support to those in need.

As some of you may be aware, a few close friends of mine recently suffered a devastating house fire, resulting in the loss of all their belongings. This incident prompted me to consider the possibility that there may be others who have experienced similar hardships and could benefit from our assistance. Many of you generously offered help when I reached out on behalf of my friends, and I am grateful for your kindness.

In addition, I wanted to provide Holly, who has graciously designed and posted our advent calendar content for the past few years, with an opportunity to rest and prioritize her own self-care, as a lot if work goes into the advent calender. Although we may resume this tradition in the future, this year will be different.

Instead of the advent calendar, I am reaching out to inquire if you know of a family who has been facing significant challenges. Beauty Bar would like to donate $500 to a family in need, which can be used to cover the cost of a meal, gifts for their children, or payment of a bill. Although to some $500 might not be alot of money but to those who suffered a hardship recently every thing they recieve can help

Please send me a direct message with information about the family, including their situation and contact details. The Beauty Bar staff will review the submissions and select a family (or more) to receive our support this year.

Today I am filled with immense pride and gratitude as we celebrate a remarkable milestone for Beauty Bar by Heather, having been recognized by the New Bern community for the New Bern Sun Journal’s Best of the Best…

Today we get to announce that we’ve won
1 st place in all categories we were nominated for: Best Spa, Best Customer Service,
Best Esthetician, and Best Massage Therapists for 2025! This is our 8 th year in a row winning this honor! This isn't just a reflection of our achievements; it embodies the heart and soul I've poured into this business over the past eleven years.

When I first embarked on this journey, it was just me in a treatment room surrounded by empty spaces and a dream. Eleven years ago, after visiting other spas, I recognized that New Bern was missing something special. My experiences left me wanting more, a ‘wow’ factor that I felt could be achieved. With that realization, I committed myself to creating an inviting sanctuary where every client feels valued and pampered and leaves feeling like a friend or part of the family. I knew in my heart that a vision of excellence could transform not just my business but the entire experience of relaxation and rejuvenation in our small community.

This journey has not been without its challenges. Each day was a testament to perseverance as I’ve wore many hats, navigating each step with determination and resilience.
