Insurance tip of the day: never go by what a broker tells you on network. Just because a doctor is "in network" doesn't mean he takes the insurance. Many doctors credential will large groups of insurances but due to terms, number of patients already being seen with that insurance, reimbursement rates, etc they may choose not to take your insurance. So before you change, find out as much as you can on the plan and call each doctors office that you see and ask them: are you in network and are you accepting this insurance.
