I am not great a processing grief or disasters or heartbreak… my go to when I am overwhelmed is to clean. If I clean hard enough, maybe things will just go back to the way they were supposed to be, maybe the dirt will be washed away and the bad will wash away with it… it isn’t rational or true, but it’s my way.
I don’t know how to comfort someone who lost their whole life’s purpose in a split second, I don’t know how to say something profound that will calm a turbulent heart, I don’t know how to put words to an event that ravaged the most innocent of life… so I clean and randomly cry.
However you process and handle events like what our community is dealing with today just know you are not alone and we are all gutted and sick together, know that you are not alone and if you need a shoulder, a hug, or love I am here.
If you follow our page and you are not from the TX hill country, please pray like you’ve never prayed before that these babies and lovedones are found safe and that their families can hold them tight again. Pray for the first responders and volunteers safety and strength to handle the insurmountable challenge they are facing. Pray that our nation comes together free of politics to live one another and help each other get through this.
