The hardest part of your child’s day isn’t math.

It’s the transition from school to home.

As a licensed teacher working in Mounds View and White Bear Lake schools, I see it every week. Kids hold it together all day — following directions, sitting still, regulating emotions — and then the moment they feel safe… they’re done.

After-school meltdowns aren’t random.

They’re nervous system fatigue.

And most enrichment programs accidentally add more stimulation instead of less.

That’s exactly why I created
Make & Take: Calming Creations™

This before & after school mindfulness and sensory enrichment program helps kids:

✔ Build emotional regulation tools
✔ Practice calming breathing techniques
✔ Create sensory supports they can use at home
✔ Transition more smoothly after school

Now enrolling through:

📍 Mounds View Community Education
📍 White Bear Lake Community Education

March sessions are open.

Small groups. Calm environment. Licensed teacher-led.

If your child struggles most during transitions, this class was created for them.

Not all kids love camp.
And that’s not their fault.

Some kids tolerate it.
Some shut down.
Some ask to stay home.

And too often, we tell them to “just push through.”

But what if the camp wasn’t the problem…
What if the fit was?

At The Mindfulness Movement, we create camps differently.

✨ Small groups
✨ Calm, creative, movement-based days
✨ Led by licensed teachers kids actually connect with
✨ Designed for kids who need something more intentional than “go-go-go” camps

These are the camps kids ask to come back to.
The ones they talk about at home.
The ones they invite a friend to.

💛 We currently have:
• March non-school day camps
• Summer camps filling quickly

If your child needs something gentler, more creative, and more human, this is it!

👇 Comment CAMP and I’ll send you details & early access.

Today’s lesson was a beautiful reminder that kindness is something kids need to practice, not just talk about. 💖

We focused on loving-kindness through movement, play, and mindfulness:

✨ Partner yoga poses to build trust and teamwork
🥰 A heart-matching game where students had to find their “other half” and work together
🧘‍♀️ A loving-kindness meditation to slow down, reflect, and regulate emotions

You could feel the shift in the room.
Calmer bodies. Softer voices. Stronger connections.

This is the exact lesson plan I taught today, and it’s fully done-for-you!

Perfect for:
✔️ Classrooms
✔️ Counseling groups
✔️ Kids yoga & mindfulness programs
✔️ SEL lessons focused on kindness and connection

Big feelings aren’t the problem…
Not having tools is.

If your child struggles with emotional regulation, calming down, or managing stress after school, these classes were created for them.

Make & Take: Calming Creations helps kids learn how to calm their bodies by creating hands-on tools they can use at home and at school.

In each class, kids will:
✔️ Create sensory-based calming tools
✔️ Learn breathing & regulation strategies
✔️ Practice mindful movement
✔️ Build confidence in a supportive group

I was teaching kids about vision boards... how to set goals, believe in them, and take action before the outcome is guaranteed.

Right in the middle of that lesson, my Apple Watch buzzed.

It was an email from the owner of Churchill St Restaurant saying she was interested in collaborating on a Community Love Valentine’s Day Yoga Class.

I had already reached out.
I had already taken the risk.
And this was the reminder I needed that aligned action matters.

This collaboration became one of my first community yoga events, and it changed everything!

🩷 Two ways to connect:

👉 Comment COLLAB if you’re a local business, school, or community space interested in hosting a yoga class, workshop, or special event
👉 Comment ALIGN if you want support manifesting aligned collaborations (one of my coaching clients already landed her DREAM collab this month!)

I’ll message you 💖

Calm isn’t taught, it’s practiced. ✨

After a full school day, many kids come home dysregulated, not because they’re misbehaving, but because their nervous systems are overloaded.

Telling kids to “calm down” doesn’t work in the moment.
They need chances to practice calm in their bodies first.

That’s exactly what our Mindful Movement Kids Yoga Clubs are designed to do.

Each week, kids practice:
• gentle yoga & mindful movement
• breathing and grounding tools
• emotional regulation strategies
• calming connection in a supportive group

No pressure. No competition. No overstimulation.

✨ This is a great fit for kids who:
• have big emotions after school
• feel overwhelmed or exhausted
• don’t love loud or competitive activities
• need a softer, calmer after-school option

📅 February sessions are now open through Community Education at local schools.
Spots are limited and filling quickly.

👉 See the comments for how to secure your child's spot today.

❌ Most kids yoga classes fall flat because they’re too generic.

Today in class, we did LABUBU Yoga! 👹 And it was one of those 'pinch me' moments that reminds me why I love teaching kids yoga and mindfulness so much.

Meeting students where they are and building lessons around their interests is always worth it. Watching them light up, laugh, and fully engage with yoga and mindfulness NEVER gets old.

What really got me was that students remembered to bring their LABUBU school just to make our final class together extra special. That kind of connection doesn’t happen by accident... it’s built through trust, play, and presence.

If you’re a teacher, parent, or kids yoga & mindfulness educator, this is your reminder:
✨ creativity builds engagement
✨ personalization builds belonging
✨ kids remember how we make them feel

💬 I’d love to know — what’s a creative theme that’s worked well with your kids or students?

Winter after school can be a lot for kids in Minnesota ❄️
Less daylight. Long school days. Big feelings that spill out at home.

That’s exactly why I created my Mindful Movement Kids Yoga & Mindfulness Clubs. A calm, supportive after-school space where kids learn how to regulate their bodies, breathe through emotions, and leave feeling grounded instead of wired.

💬 What families are saying:

“My child comes home calmer, more confident, and actually uses the breathing tools when they’re overwhelmed.”

“This has been such a peaceful reset after school. We’ve noticed fewer meltdowns and better sleep.”

I’m currently running (and finalizing) February groups in Mounds View, White Bear Lake & Roseville schools, early registration ensures these programs run at your child's school.

Small class sizes
No screens, no pressure
Real tools kids can use at school and at home

If your child could use a calmer after-school experience this winter, comment CALM or message me and I’ll send details for your school. 💖✨
