Most kids aren’t struggling because they lack tools…

They’re struggling because no one has taught them how to use them 💓

That’s why I love this activity so much 👇

Instead of just handing kids calming tools…

we teach them how to actually use them, in real life.

✨ Make & Take: Calming Creations ✨

Kids create their own personalized calm kits with:
• tools they choose
• strategies they understand
• skills they can actually use

And the shift is HUGE.

Instead of:
“Calm down”

You’ll start to hear:
“I know what helps me”
“I need a minute”
“I’m going to use my tools”

This is especially important for tweens 💛

That in-between stage where:
• confidence is shaky
• emotions feel bigger
• social pressure increases

✨ That’s exactly why I created:

Confidence in Motion: Tween Self-Expression Camp (Ages 9–13)

A small-group, studio-based camp where tweens build:
✔ confidence
✔ emotional regulation
✔ self-expression

through movement, journaling, creative projects, and calming tools like this.

📍 New Brighton Community Center
📅 June 8–11
⏰ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
👥 Only 12 spots (intentionally small group)

This is for the tween who:
• is a little shy or unsure of themselves
• has big feelings but doesn’t know what to do with them
• needs a confidence boost in a safe, supportive space

Comment CONFIDENCE and I’ll send you the registration link & details 💛

If your child is:
• Shy or slow to warm up
• Struggles with confidence
• Has big feelings
• Doesn’t love team sports
• Needs movement after school

This is exactly what they need.

I’m opening a small-group Mindful Movement Kids™ Yoga & Mindfulness Program in New Brighton, and we start in just 2 weeks.

This is NOT a competitive class.

It’s a supportive, calm space where kids:
✨ build real confidence
✨ learn calming tools for big emotions
✨ move, play, and feel successful
✨ make positive friendships

As a licensed teacher, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful this kind of space can be, especially for kids who don’t always feel like they “fit” in traditional activities.

Not every child loves competitive sports…
but every child still needs movement 💛

This is one of my favorite ways to help kids build focus, confidence, and calm through play 👇

It’s called Yoga Hopscotch 🧘‍♀️✨

✔️ Easy to set up
✔️ Works at home or in the classroom
✔️ Great for kids with big energy or big feelings
✔️ Helps kids practice balance, focus, and self-regulation

Save this idea for later, you’ll use it more than you think!

If you want more simple mindfulness games like this, comment CALM and I’ll send you a few of my favorites 💛

I see this all the time as a teacher…

kids aren’t lacking confidence, they just haven’t been taught how to build it yet 💐✨

A lot of kids today:
• get frustrated easily
• give up quickly
• or say “I can’t do it” before they even try

And it’s not because they’re lazy.

They just don’t have the tools yet!

That’s why I don’t teach “growth mindset” as just a worksheet or lesson…

I teach it through:
✨ movement
✨ play
✨ creativity
✨ mindfulness

Because that’s what actually sticks.

Simple moments like:
• slowing down and taking a breath
• creating something with their hands
• learning to try again in a low-pressure way

…are what build real confidence over time.

This is exactly what I focus on in my kids yoga & mindfulness classes, and it’s one of the biggest shifts I see in students 💓

If you have a child who struggles with confidence or frustration, you’re definitely not alone.

I’d love to know…
what’s something your child tends to say when things feel hard?

Most kids don’t need another lecture on “calming down”…
they just need a tool that actually feels like play 💛

This is one of my favorite ways to teach mindfulness without kids even realizing it

We turn simple sidewalk chalk into a breathing & calming activity that helps with:
✨ big emotions
✨ focus
✨ after-school overwhelm

And the best part?
Kids actually want to do it again 🙌

As a licensed teacher, these are the exact kinds of tools I use in my kids yoga & mindfulness programs around the Twin Cities

If you want the full set of activities like this, comment FLOWER and I’ll send it to you 🌸

This is how we sneak mindfulness into play 💛

Most kids don’t respond to “just take a deep breath.”
But when you turn it into a game… everything changes.

In this activity, kids use their breath to move a ping pong ball around a circle, and without even realizing it, they’re practicing:
• calming their body
• focusing their mind
• controlling their breath
• building real self-regulation skills

This is exactly what we do in our Kids Yoga & Mindfulness Classes at the New Brighton Community Center.

We help kids build confidence, calm, and coping tools in ways that actually work for them.

If your child:
• has big feelings after school
• struggles to slow down or focus
• doesn’t love competitive sports
• would benefit from a smaller, supportive group

This is such a good fit 💛

This is why I left traditional paths to teach kids mindfulness full-time…

I didn’t take a straight path to this work.

I started as a competitive dancer
in a world focused on performance and perfection.

Then I worked in child life…
and saw something I couldn’t ignore.

Kids today are struggling and overwhelmed.

Anxiety, big emotions, burnout
and fewer tools than ever to actually manage it.

Then I became a full-time elementary school yoga & mindfulness teacher
and I saw it even more clearly.

After a full day of school, many kids don’t need more pressure.
They need a space to move, reset, and feel successful again.

So I made a decision:
I stopped waiting… and built The Mindfulness Movement™.

Now I offer small-group kids yoga & mindfulness programs designed to help kids:
✔ Build confidence
✔ Learn emotional regulation
✔ Reduce stress & anxiety
✔ Feel calm and successful after school

💛 If you’re a parent in New Brighton, White Bear Lake, Mounds View, Roseville, or nearby…

I just opened my May kids yoga & mindfulness programs
(and they tend to fill quickly)

Most middle schoolers aren’t “lazy”… they’re mentally exhausted.

By the end of the school day, so many kids are completely drained — mentally, emotionally, and physically.

And it doesn’t always look like stress.

It looks like:
• shutting down after school
• irritability or big emotions
• lack of motivation
• wanting to be alone

Middle school is a LOT right now — academically, socially, and emotionally.

But most kids have never been taught how to:
✔ manage stress
✔ regulate emotions
✔ reset their nervous system

That’s why I created Mindful Movement Collective™ – Middle School Yoga & Mindfulness in New Brighton, Minnesota

This is a small-group, non-competitive after school program where students can:
• move their bodies
• learn calming tools
• build confidence
• feel supported
