Inspiring the Future of Healthcare!

The Hospital of Central Connecticut welcomed New Britain middle schoolers and their families for an exciting Career Exploration Community Event! Students had the chance to connect with experts across our hospital, discover new career paths, and imagine themselves as the next generation of caregivers, innovators, and problem-solvers.

From hands-on demos to real-life conversations with hospital teams, this event sparked curiosity and encouraged students to dream big. Thank you to all our departments and community partners for helping guide the future of healthcare.

When Seconds Count, Preparation Matters

The Hospital of Central Connecticut became a hub of collaboration and readiness as the Connecticut Emergency Nurses Association and TEEX hosted FEMAโ€™s Pediatric Disaster Response Training. From EMS to educators, professionals across the Northeast came together to sharpen their skills and strengthen pediatric emergency preparedness.

๐Ÿ‘ Huge thanks to Wendy Wheeler, Jackie Bly, and Marlene Schmidt for leading the charge with heart and expertise. Your impact reaches far beyond hospital walls!

From Motown beats to meaningful moments, The Hospital of Central Connecticut's Auxiliary Gala was a night to remember! We celebrated 10 years of healing and hope at our Cancer Institute in New Britain โ€” and thanks to our incredible community, colleagues and sponsors we raised $105,000 to support life-changing cancer research.

Thank you to everyone who danced, donated, and believed in the power of care close to home

Being nationally recognized as a Level 2 Age-Friendly Health System Participant by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement means our older patients can count on care that truly centers on them. We are so proud of the work each of our colleagues are continuing to provide.

Through the 4Ms framework โ€” what matters, medications, mentation and mobility โ€” our teams focus on what each person values most, supporting independence, safety and quality of life at every step. Because aging well means being cared for in ways that honor who you are.

We fired up the grill to celebrate our incredible Public Safety team!

In honor of Public Safety Week, colleagues gathered for a cookout last week to say thank you to the officers who keep our hospitals safe every day. From ensuring our campuses are secure to lending a helping hand with a smile โ€” weโ€™re so grateful for all they do.

๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ Thank you to our Public Safety officers and their K-9s for your commitment, compassion, and courage!
