A warm gift for our tiniest patients.

During the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, students at the University of Connecticut in Storrs created 90 no-sew baby blankets for hospitals with NICUs — including The Hospital of Central Connecticut. These handmade blankets will help keep our smallest patients warm while reminding families that their community is thinking of them.

We’re grateful to these students for turning a day of service into a gesture of comfort and care for the babies and families we serve.

When seconds matter, preparation saves lives.

The Trauma Program at The Hospital of Central Connecticut recently donated 60 tourniquets to officers serving on Connecticut’s community college campuses—helping ensure they have the tools needed to respond quickly in an emergency.

Severe bleeding can become life-threatening in minutes. Having a tourniquet on hand can help control bleeding and save lives before a patient even reaches the hospital. We’re proud to partner with our community to strengthen safety and preparedness across our campuses.

"It was so comforting to know I was going to be in their hands."

Paul’s journey with atrial flutter brought him to Dr. Moulin Chokshi and our cardiac electrophysiology team, where advanced, minimally invasive care helped him find answers when he needed them most.

A NICU family came back to The Hospital of Central Connecticut with something special: handmade quilts for our tiniest patients.

They told us how the NICU team changed their lives — and why this gift means so much.

Acts of kindness like this remind us that caring never stops.

We’re celebrating a major milestone for cancer care in Connecticut!

Our team is proud to share that the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute has become the first health care system in the nation to be a Care Partner of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK Care Partner).

This means our patients have access to world-class cancer care, cutting-edge treatments, and clinical trials, guided by MSK’s Standards of Care – right here in Connecticut!

When the weather was at its worst, our teams were at their best.

To every colleague who worked around the clock to keep our facilities and campuses safe, open and running — thank you. Because of your dedication, patients, families and our communities continued to have access to the care and support they needed.

From facilities and public safety to environmental services, transportation, clinical teams and so many others behind the scenes, your teamwork and commitment made all the difference. You showed up, supported one another and never lost sight of what matters most.

We are incredibly proud of our teams and deeply thankful for everything you do — for our patients, our families and our communities.

👏 Please join us in thanking our colleagues below!
