I'd like to share a story from a former patient of mine who recently found me again. Her name is Rosie and here is her story:
"In the month of July in the year of 2012 I was in the hospital for an operation in my abdomen to remove a mass and blockage in my intestines. I also had an infection in my peritoneal catheter (which is a tube coming out of the side of my stomach to be used for my dialysis treatment. I was in extreme pain; it felt like I was being stabbed in my stomach. I actually prayed to die because I could not take the pain, not even with all the pain medication that was being given to me every 2 hours via I.V.
I was in pain for 10 days. I prayed to God to take me or take the pain away. On the 10th day some lady came into my room and she introduced herself, and explained that she was a volunteer at the hospital helping sick people doing Reiki. I never heard about Reiki before but I said yes, because I needed any kind of help that I could get to relieve this pain.
She began the Reiki process and I felt heat radiating through my body. The pain started to subside and within 20 minutes my pain was 100% gone. I could not understand what was happening and I never had experienced anything like it. But I was so happy that she came into my room that day. I’m sure that she was the answer to my prayer.
After the session the pain was totally gone and never returned even to this day. After she finished with me I asked her to help the patient next to me. When Jozefa left my hospital roommate came over to me and said, “What just happened?” I said I don’t know but my pain is gone, she said, “my pain also”.
I was released the next day after the session with Jozefa Wilczak which is her name. Before I was discharged she gave me her card and I lost it and after 1 year I found it and was so happy because I needed her help again but not for the operation problem but for something else. Now I found her again and she helped me with the eye problems, they were itchy and tearing all the time. I went to several doctors but didn’t have any relief and only after 5 minutes into the session my eyes were well.
I feel peaceful and relaxed when she is working on me. I don’t want to lose touch with Jozefa because I have problems with my kidneys and body pain. So I will keep in touch with her. Not only is she great with her gift but she is a lovely person.
