We’re still smiling from last week’s spooktacular Halloween festivities — and we have so many people to thank! 👏

A huge thank-you to all the vendors, residents, family members, and team members who helped make the events such a success. Together, we collected an incredible 500 pounds of candy! 🍬🍭

And for those following along with our friendly Residents vs. Staff Candy Drive competition… the residents came out on top with an amazing 290 pounds donated! 🏆👏

Your generosity and community spirit made this year’s Halloween one to remember — full of fun, laughter, and sweet treats for everyone! 🧡👻

Last Friday, our team members went all out for our annual Costume Contest — and what a blast it was! From spooky and silly to downright creative, our staff showed up in some amazing looks that brought so much joy and laughter to our residents. 👻✨

A big congratulations to Sandy, our costume contest winner! 🏆 And a huge thank you to everyone who participated — you all looked incredible and made the day so much fun for everyone at Hamilton Grove! 💜

Last week, leaders from across all of our Greencroft Communities campuses gathered for our annual Fall Leadership Meeting — a time to connect, learn, and grow together. It was a truly inspiring and insightful event for our leadership teams and for the bright future of our campuses!

Guest speaker Jeremy and our CEO Hugh Davis shared powerful messages about leading with purpose, taking pride in our work, and inspiring those around us every day. Their words reminded us that leadership isn’t just about direction — it’s about heart, service, and community. 💚

Thank you to everyone who made this event such a success — we’re excited to carry this momentum forward as we continue our mission of caring and serving across all Greencroft campuses.

🇺🇸💙 Honoring Our Veterans: Meet John Dandino 💙🇺🇸

All month long, we’re celebrating and giving thanks to the veterans who call Hamilton Grove home. Today, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on John Dandino, who served in the U.S. Army from 1969–1975.

John brings joy and creativity to our community — whether he’s playing guitar and entertaining residents, cooking up something delicious, or simply enjoying the peace and quiet that Hamilton Grove offers. He especially appreciates the beautiful nature and surroundings that make this place feel like home. 🌿🎶🍳

John also wanted to give a special shoutout to Liz West and Erin Shipley at Chicago Trail Village for all they do to make life brighter for him and so many others here at Hamilton Grove. 💚

Thank you, John, for your service and for the light you bring to our community!

🎃 Trick or Treat at Hamilton Grove was a huge success! 🎃

Last week, our campus was buzzing with excitement as over 200 visitors—many in fantastic costumes—joined us for an evening of Halloween fun! 👻🍬

Our residents loved handing out candy, our team went all out with spooky decorations, and our haunted hallways were a frightful hit! A special thank you to Michelle for organizing such a wonderful event. Between the piles of goodies and treats and all the laughter shared, it was truly a night to remember for residents, families, and guests alike! 💜

It’s hard to believe, but Thanksgiving is only one month away — and the excitement is already building here at Hamilton Grove! Residents are starting to talk about their favorite holiday traditions, favorite dishes, and of course, the joy of gathering with friends and family. 💛

As the season of gratitude approaches, we’re thankful for our wonderful community and the many blessings we share together each day.

We’re excited to share that Hamilton Grove has been honored with the Creativity – Excellence in Innovation Award at Greencroft Communities’ Annual Board Dinner! 🎉

This award — Greencroft’s highest recognition for innovation — celebrates creativity and forward-thinking ideas that make life better for residents, team members, and our entire community.

Hamilton Grove’s leadership team, led by Catherine McClure, was recognized for creating the Resident Choice Award — a heartfelt initiative that empowers residents to nominate and celebrate team members who go above and beyond in demonstrating Greencroft’s CROFT values. 💐

Each month, residents share their nominations during council meetings, and the winning team member is honored with a special celebration, a spot on our Resident Choice Wall of Fame, and recognition in our weekly newsletter.
