As Thanksgiving approaches, we want to share some sentiments from a few employees about what they are thankful for.

Debbie Price, one of our Housekeepers, expressed her gratitude for God giving her another day of life and for healing her of cancer. She is also thankful for her children, grandchildren, and family. Additionally, Debbie appreciates having a roof over her head and food on her table.

Cami, a CNA on the second shift, is deeply grateful for her boyfriend, who is also her best friend. She also expresses her appreciation for her co-workers, as they work together to form an excellent team.

As Thanksgiving approaches, we want to share some sentiments from a few residents about what they are thankful for.

Brian Moore shared what he is grateful for this year, mentioning that he is thankful for his life, his amazing children, the staff at Miller's, and the delicious food he receives every day, especially the corn casserole.

Marlene has listed five things she genuinely appreciates during this season. She is immensely grateful for her friends, the farm, her animals, and her excellent health. She feels incredibly thankful to God for everything.

We would like to share some lovely words from a patient transitioning from rehab to home. Lorraine Allen expressed her satisfaction with her stay, highlighting that the staff is fantastic and brings joy all around. The team has been instrumental in helping her reach her current progress. She is particularly grateful to the amazing therapists who encourage her to give her best while incorporating plenty of laughter. Lorraine cannot thank Miller’s enough for the incredible teamwork that has supported her recovery journey.

We would like to highlight our Adult Day Services program. This service offers affordable, intermittent care in a comfortable, stimulating environment as an alternative to 24- hour placement. Miller’s Adult Day Services is provided under the direction of your physician and is available during daytime hours on daily, weekly, or monthly terms, giving caregivers time to rest, maintain employment, or pursue other tasks and interests.

This is available Monday-Friday for only $20 an hour, scheduled activities, exercise nutritious meals, and snacks. The nurses also administer medication for these patients (if needed). If you want more information or interested, please reach out to Shantell Davis, our Admissions Director, at 574-654-7244.

Who’s a pickle enthusiast? Today, our team was spoiled with an epic pickle bar in celebration of National Pickle Day! A vibrant array of crunchy, tangy, and sweet pickles lined the table, tempting everyone to indulge. From zesty zest to sweet surprises, it was a flavor-filled fiesta that had us crunching happily all afternoon.

Our amazing team has truly outdone themselves! We launched a Grinch Giving Tree to spread holiday cheer to our residents, and in just over a day, it’s nearly picked clean. The staff is wholeheartedly dedicated to making this Christmas one to remember, ensuring every resident feels the magic of the season.
